Is Beige the New Go-To Colour On the Red Carpet?
In fashion, you know what they say. Three’s a trend. And in this case, we’ve got more than three examples to help make the case for beige as the hottest red carpet hue of the season. Yes, beige. A hue that Vocabulary.com describes as “a tan colour with a reputation for being neutral, if not […]

We Talk to Dree Hemingway About Being a “Perfectionist for Imperfection”
Back in the fall, we sat down with model Dree Hemingway to talk about her latest project as the spokesperson for Chloé’s Fleur de Parfum fragrance. But when you meet the model (or even think of her, really) you think of spring. And while the end of January is typically frigid and painful, thanks to […]

Dree Hemingway Talks Coach, Crocs and Why Wearing Red Is the Best Medicine
Dree Hemingway walks into the room and you know the coolest girl at the party has arrived. Dressed in red leather pants, a loose knit sweater and beat up Converse with hair spun into a tight blonde topknot, the knockout model and actress is the picture of effortless chic. She recently touched down in Toronto […]

10 reasons we are still living for the tartan trend
I am not, nor will I ever be, Scottish—it is one of the greatest disappointments of my life. I’ll never be able to roll my Rs or drink Scotch without silently screaming inside. Yet, I’ve always had an affinity for the wild, sprawling plains of heather-clad Scottish moors (in my youth, and before Mel Gibson […]

The weekend in celebrity style: See who made our top 10 best dressed
See the best celebrity style from this weekend »
There’s nothing quite like a film festival to provide us with non-stop celebrity red carpet action. The Tribeca Film Festival kicked off last Thursday in New York City and celebrities showed up in dresses that looked like they stepped right out of our Spring 2014 trends guide. Fresh from the opening night of her Broadway debut, former Gossip Girl actress Leighton Meester switched out of her elegant gown from the night before into a mermaid-esque dress for the screening of Life Partners (unfortunately without hubby/co-star Adam Brody by her side). Over on on the west coast, the second week of Coachella kept the festival fashion coming—but we also saw a number of festival-ready looks on red carpets in Hollywood. Olivia Munn rocked a black sleeveless romper by Valentino that would suit both a film premiere and music fest alike. With spring finally in the air, it’s no wonder A-list stars are dressing accordingly.

Model Parent: 12 genetic lottery winners who are turning their good looks into real careers
While coming of age for most kids involves obsessing over Ryan Gosling’s abs or donning an ill-fitting mermaid dress to semi-formal, celebrity kids can burn mileage on what we’re calling “family flame fame.” Celebrity kids are genetic lottery winners: hardwired to be talented, ridiculously good looking and sometimes both. Walking a Marc Jacobs runway show before the age of 18? A very real possibility.
At the sprightly young age of 10, Victoria and David Beckham’s son Romeo has gotten a head start on his career by starring in Burberry’s Spring 2013 advertising. Meanwhile, Cindy Crawford’s eleven-year-old daughter Kaia has fronted Versace’s children’s range.
Celebrity kids are certainly modeling earlier these days and while they may not all live up to the stature of their parents, they’ve certainly got enough moxy to gain It girl status. Here are our top 12 favourite model children.

Daria Werbowy vs. Dree Hemingway: Who wore white best?
See the red carpet looks up close »
Ukrainian Canadian supermodel Daria Werbowy made an appearance in her hometown at last night’s North American premiere of Lancôme’s Rôses By…20 Artists for a Rose at Toronto’s Frist Canadian Place. Featuring twenty well-known photographers from all over the world (ahem, Patrick Demarchelier), the exhibition celebrates Lancôme’s rose emblem as part of the Luminato arts festival. Wearing an all-white Céline pantsuit, Werbowy looked every bit the modern dandy. The Lancôme spokesperson paired her white attire with white pointed-toe heels and simple gold necklaces. Showing off her model features, the supermodel kept her face natural and styled her hair in a surfer-approved high braid.

Paris Fashion Week Spring 2013 Street Style: 41 shots of Kristen Stewart, Salma Hayek, Dree Hemingway and more!
Check out today’s photos from Paris Fashion Week Spring 2013
Today’s set of street style photos from Paris is equivalent to the fashion (and Twihard) jackpot. With major shows like Carven, Balenciaga, and Balmain going down, you know a fashionable crowd is going to show up and thankfully, our street style photographer Stefania Yarhi, was there to capture it all and do a little bit of stalking.
Stalking who? Oh you know, just Kristen Stewart, the most most buzzed about actress du jour (du year?). As the face of Balenciaga’s Florabotanica fragrance, it’s only natural that she sat front row in a yellow quilted leather jacket and floral printed pants accessorized with a petite smile (we repeat: petite).

Dree Hemingway made a collection for Sandro, and it’s coming to the Bay!
Well, lookie here! We hadn’t even heard a whisper about this, but apparently our favourite model/literary offspring has been busy. Just in time for Sandro’s New York store opening and U.S. online shop (they ship to Canada, trust us), the awesomely amazing French brand has teamed up with Dree Hemingway to create a distinctly American-feeling 10-piece capsule collection. The collection has easy printed and tie-dyed separates that reference the model’s childhood and “family spirit.” While we don’t exactly get For Whom the Bell Tolls from an ikat blouse, we’d also be referencing the late, great Ernest Hemingway till the cash cows came home if we were his descendants.
Dree Hemingway for Sandro will be available in Canada exclusively at the Bay beginning in March 2012.
