SNP’s word of the day: Iconoplast
Word: Iconoplast
Meaning: One who chooses to age naturally (or at least, who appears to age naturally).
Usage: “I love what Julianne Moore hasn’t done with her face; she’s such an iconoplast!”
You should know it because: Sometimes—or perhaps always, and I only sometimes notice—New York Times Magazine puts up neologisms for adoption. I love reading these, duh, although sometimes they should most definitely not be used as words. “Skinjecture,” for example, as in to speculate about who has had plastic surgery? Grossssss. “Iconoplast,” though, is great. It’s a hybrid of “iconoclast,” which in turn is taken from iconoclasm, and “plastic,” as in plastic surgery.

Keeping it real: Documentaries have shed their dowdy image and emerged brighter and more dynamic than ever
By Ghita Loebenstein
Last month, a documentary opened the Toronto International Film Festival for the first time in its history: Davis Guggenheim’s U2 profile From the Sky Down. Soon, the Bloor Cinema in Toronto will reopen its doors under the stewardship of Hot Docs, and will almost exclusively screen documentary films.

PFW style snaps: We spotted all the pretty people outside of Balmain
Today’s style snaps look like they should be taking place in the spring. Unseasonably warm temperature means less clothing, and less options for those who packed their Paris fashion week luggage full of boots, scarves, and sweaters. Still, everyone pulled it off. Enjoy the photos, and pretend (like we are) that you’re basking in the warm Parisian sun.

NYFW style snaps: We spotted Carine Roitfeld, Grace Coddington, Courtney Love, Linda Evangelista, and every post-show model on their phone at the Alexander Wang show
Ever wonder what a model does after she’s done walking a show? Judging by all of the girls we snapped coming out of the Alexander Wang show (ahem, Liya Kebede, Magdalena Frackowiak, Hanne Gaby Odiele, Frankie Rayder to name a few), she calls her bf, or her mom, or her agent. What do celebs do? They stop and pose for our boy Lewis, is what they do. Oh, snap! (Get it?)

SNP’s word of the day: Ailurophile
Word: Ailurophile
Meaning: cat lover (in the swish Greek lexicon)
Usage: “An ailurophile can’t be curious; she could never kill a cat.” ― a terrible joke I made up

SNP’s word of the day: Titian
Word: Titian
Meaning: The Italian Renaissance painter (c. 1488) known for naturalistic colour, realistic brushwork and versatility. He painted portraits, landscapes and religious images equally well—but in colour lexicon, he’s remembered for one thing: the auburn colour he painted. The term “titian” refers to a natural, though not usual, shade of red found in hair—famously created by the artist. He loved redheaded honeys like nobody’s business.

What’s fringed, flat, studded with stars and costs US$795? It could only be the new Jimmy Choo Uggs. [Racked]
Did Kate Moss secretly marry musician Jamie Hince? The pair have been spotted recently with slim bands on their respective wedding finger, but friends say they’re not hitched yet. [Daily Mail]
Grace Coddington, Vogue’s creative director, is currently penning a memoir, though we’ve already read her book The Catwalk Cats, so we’re not sure what else there is to add. (Kidding! We can’t wait.) [WWD]
