Kristen Stewart debuts a dramatic new look at the Chanel Fall 2014 Couture show

While there was plenty to be excited about at this morning’s Chanel Fall 2014 Couture show (like Kendall Jenner making her debut with the fashion house), all eyes were on Kristen Stewart.
Not that she doesn’t already attract a slew of cameras 24/7, but when Stewart arrived at the venue with a dramatic new haircut, you can bet photographers were all over her. Even if there was a list of notable celebrities (Jared Leto, Lily Collins, Poppy Delevingne and Nina Dobrev were there!) sitting front row, K.Stew undoubtedly got all the camera action (#sorrynotsorry). As the latest celebrity to join the short hair club, the actress styled her cropped hair in a similar manner as the couture models: textured and fuss-free – a look we know and love on her. Though we are surprised to see K.Stew still rocking her orange hair (filming for American Ultra has wrapped up), you can always count on the former Twilight star to shock us.

Bold hair, don’t care: 10 dramatic celebrity hair transformations
See the celebrity hair transformations »
If we were to name our favourite kind of celebrity news, dramatic hair transformations would be high on that list. Though it comes as no surprise to hear that some of our fave celebs are changing up their looks for film roles (it’s in the job description, you know), we’d be lying if we said celebrity hair transformations don’t faze us from time to time. So whether the A-listers are going from long to short or from blonde to red, we’re all for it.
There’s no question short hair was a clear celebrity trend last year with Jennifer Lawrence and Anne Hathaway making the change from long to short. But judging from the latest celebrity hair transformations, this trend is here to stay. While Taylor Swift went for the drastic change earlier this year, chopping off her Rapunzel-like hair and opting for a bob style instead (possibly inspired by her IRL BFF Karlie Kloss?), the most recent (and surprising!) celeb to go short is Jennifer Aniston. Known for her wavy blonde hair, she shocked fans by debuting a sleek lob in a soft brown hue.

Met Gala 2014: The 54 best dressed on last night’s epic red carpet

If reports about Anna Wintour wanting this year’s Met Gala to be more exclusive were true, they certainly did not apply to the A-list. Last night’s red carpet was stacked (and we mean stacked) with just about everyone from the recluse to rising star. Surely, it had something to do with the fact that last night was the inaugural Met Gala celebrating the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s renamed Anna Wintour Costume Center. Maybe too, it was just like the rest of us have been trained to understand: The Met Gala is not to be missed.
Honouring oft-forgotten American couturier Charles James, last night’s event was all about 1950s glamour. Its “white tie” guest-list prompted gents like Johnny Depp and Kanye West to wear tails, Zoe Saldana to wear a recreated Michael Kors bustle and both Taylor Swift and Sarah Jessica Parker to take to the stairs with over-the-top Oscar de la Renta trains. Unlike the sometimes cookie cutter Oscars, the Met Gala is a time to break out some real steez and red carpet queen Lupita Nyong’o did just that in a flapper-inspired feathered Prada dress. Perhaps more Poiret than James, the dress made for some serious chatter from both the “for” and “against” camps. Fellow red carpet queen (and queen of life, truly) Rihanna went anti-theme in a sexy stomach-baring Stella McCartney dress which killed, as usual.

Kristen Stewart’s Chanel ads are here (so is an interview and a behind the scenes video!)

See our Kristen Stewart style gallery »In a post-Wikileaks world, everybody’s gotta watch their back…even in fashion. After a series of fuzzy photo leaks, Kristen Stewart’s much-anticipated ad campaign for Chanel has yet again been released before its official launch date later this week. Earlier today, Grazia published the photos in their sepia toned glory. The ads feature the actress in Chanel’s Metiers d’Art Paris-Dallas collection. Fringe, feathers, stars and stripes look pretty bangin’ on the alt A-lister. So good in fact, that all I can think about is a modern remake of Annie Get Your Gun with her in the starring role. Outlaw staples like gun holsters and ID-obstructing bandanas are also pictured, which she describes as “I can’t use the word bad-ass but there is something about it that is fun… fierce.”
Chanel has released a Q&A with Kristen Stewart in regards to the ads, which we’ve dutifully pasted below for your enjoyment. After all, with KStew it’s all or nothing.
There’s also a video, cause heyo!

Why you should forget you ever knew that Kristen Stewart dyed her hair orange
Uh oh. Kristen Stewart dyed her hair orange this weekend, but it seems like that was maybe something we were not supposed to know. The bright dye job was for Stewart’s upcoming role in the indie film American Ultra, which is currently filming in New Orleans. Hence, Friday’s Instagram update from a NOLA hair salon, which showed a smiling, orange hair-hued Stewart giving the peace sign while posing next to a stylist.

Kristen Stewart stuns in Balenciaga’s latest fragrance ad for Rosabotanica
Kristen Stewart is making use of that signature haunting gaze in the ad for Balenciaga’s latest fragrance, Rosabotanica. The scent is a variation of Florobotanica, which Stewart has been the face of since 2012.
Shot by Craig McDean, the latest photo showcases Stewart in a soft beauty portrait with vibrant orchids cascading across her shoulder—not a far stretch from the most recent Florobotanica ad (hey, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it).

Inside Chanel’s Dallas Métiers d’Art extravaganza: Kristen Stewart, cowboy hats, vintage convertibles and more!
See photos from the Chanel event in Dallas »
Last night, all eyes were on Dallas as the nouveau riche home of the high end hosted fashion’s elite for Chanel’s latest Métiers d’Art a.k.a. Pre-Fall collection show. Everything is bigger in Texas, a sentiment which Karl Lagerfeld certainly shares, so what better place to host his latest extravaganza and announce Kristen Stewart as its face.
Though Stewart currently fronts Balenciaga’s Florobotanica fragrance campaign, Chanel has clearly courted her over the past few years, dressing the actress for red carpet events and hosting her at several shows. Known for her adherence to un-mussed style, she’s the perfect front for the Western-inspired collection. It’s also the perfect thing to lift her aesthetic association out of Twilight territory, placing it back where she belongs: On the Road.

Sole Mates: From metallic brogues to velvet slip-ons, we’re dazzled by fall’s friendliest footwear
See the flat trend on the runway »
When red carpet renegade Kristen Stewart wore a pair of Converse Chuck Taylors with her Yigal Azrouël dress at the MTV Movie Awards in 2009 (or the sneakers she wore on any number of subsequent red carpet walks), she was essentially flipping fashion the bird. In this industry, comfort has historically been a four-letter word: f-l-a-t.
This season, there’s a more sophisticated way to save your soles.
After years of sending models teetering down runways in sky-high strappy sandals and stilettos, designers have become the new flat-vocates, endorsing everything from clunky lug soles and creepers to trim, slim loafers and sleek skimmers especially suited to holiday dressing.
Like so many other recent trends that can be traced back to Lanvin, it’s arguable that the house’s ubiquitous stretchy, girlish ballerina flat of 2002 was fashion’s gateway drug to comfort. Once you go flat, you never go back. This season, Lanvin creative director Alber Elbaz sent winter floral party dresses down the runway but grounded their feminine whimsy with more mannish oxfords in leather, velvet and glitter-encrusted versions. This new flat provides a balance to the proportions of fall’s revival of ’50s volume, from the new New Look of full dirndl skirts at Rochas to the boxy topcoats at Céline.
