The 10 Best Celebrity Wigs that Kylie Jenner Did Not “Start”
In recent years, the presence of wigs on the red carpet (or at least, our awareness of them) has really blown up. It’s no longer considered to be a big deal to admit that the hair you’re sporting is not, in fact, your own. In fact, it’s now almost de rigeur to don a wig, […]

Best red hair: We count down 10 of Hollywood’s top redheads
See the best red hair in Hollywood »
There is no doubt that red hair instantly stands out in a sea of blondes and brunettes. Once rare and unique in Hollywood, red seems to be the hair colour of choice for some of the hottest celebrities. And although there are only a handful of famous natural redheaded beauties, the colour remains a top choice for temporary (read: attention-grabbing) dye jobs. Think about it: also almost every leading lady has a red phase on record.
While we can easily pin Jessica Chastain, Isla Fisher and Julianne Moore as natural redheads, other celebrities have had red hair for so long that we basically consider the shade as the one they were born with. Although hair colour chameleon Emma Stone is often mistaken as a true redhead—her go-to copper hue perfectly suits her flawless porcelain skin—she’s actually a blonde. (Same with Mad Men’s Christina Hendricks!) Amy Adams also wears her red hair well, likely because it’s just a touch brighter than her natural strawberry blonde shade.

Emmys 2013: From Elisabeth Moss to Kate Mara, the best short hair on the red carpet
See the best hair from the 2013 Emmy Awards »
Short hair is still where it’s at, with above-the-shoulder styles being amongst the best beauty looks on the 2013 Emmy Awards red carpet. From Elisabeth Moss’s cropped platinum cut to Kate Mara’s striking pin-straight style to Claire Danes’ faux bob, the message was clear: to stand out in a sea of Old Hollywood side parts and loose updos, you have to go short.
Not willing to let Betty Draper have all the fun, Elisabeth Moss debuted her freshly-dyed blonde hair on the Emmys red carpet. Channeling a little bit of a Charlize Theron vibe, the tousled, modern style was a new look for Moss—and a fierce one at that. As for Mad Men’s other leading ladies, both January Jones and Christina Hendricks kept their short cuts curly.

Rachel McAdams vs. Mad Men’s Joan: Which redhead wore purple best?
Get a closer look at Rachel McAdams’ new red hair »
Today’s edition of Who Wore It Best is a battle of the redheads: Rachel McAdams at Jimmy Kimmel Live vs. Christina Hendricks as Joan in season six of Mad Men.
Rachel McAdams recently converted to being a ginger with a new auburn hair colour that she debuted on Monday night in Los Angeles. Wearing a two-piece purple ensemble on Jimmy Kimmel Live—and she made sure to explain that it was not a jumpsuit—she blabbed about living in Toronto (!!!) and told a hilarious story about the time a grocery store clerk gave her some pot. Canada’s sweetheart just got a little bit more real.
The combination of the entirely purple look with fiery red locks jogged our memory of a recent outfit worn by everyone’s favourite redhead, Joan Holloway/Harris. Joan’s similar two-piece outfit from the season six premiere of Mad Men doesn’t feature sheer paneling like McAdams’, but instead has a dark purple vest that allows a ruffled button-up to show through. We must remember that this is a show set in the past, you guys.
Purple is a great tone for those with reddish locks so who do you think wears the colour better? Vote in our poll!

Mad Men Recap: Making light of the fact that something TERRIBLE happened (and Sally got her period…)
In the antepenultimate episode of Mad Men, some game done got changed. Namely, Peggy made a power move and left SCDP for the greener (and by “greener” we are referring to money) pastures of CGC as their chief copywriter. Joan slept her way to a five per cent share of the agency (and let’s be honest, we’re sure her skills helped land them the Jaguar account), Pete showed what a schmuck he is (again), Lane brought up the bonus (again), and Megan struggled with an audition and Don’s lack of support. But we’re getting close to the end here, so let’s see whether Peggy’s move will be the big shake up or if there are bigger exits ahead…
