How to wear bright eyeshadow: 15 celebrities who rock every colour of the rainbow
Lips may be seen as the go-to when it comes to statement beauty looks, but some of our favourite celebrities prove that that’s not always the case by demonstrating exactly how to wear bright eyeshadow. Every so often, A-list stars dabble in the art of statement eyes on the red carpet by experimenting with bright eyeshadow, and obviously, it makes us beauty junkies positively giddy. But mastering the statement eye is no easy feat, especially when it comes down to zeroing in on what colour works for your individual skin tone. But before you pass on this celebrity beauty trend, we’ve rounded up 15 of the best statement eyes to show you exactly how to wear bright eyeshadow the right way. From Elle Fanning’s striking yellow eyeliner to Olivia Wilde’s flirty purple eyeshadow, we present you the best statement eyes out there in every colour of the rainbow!

Lupita Nyong’o’s best beauty looks: 21 of the brightest lips, coolest manicures and most flawless skin
See Lupita Nyong’o’s best beauty looks »
In today’s edition of Least Surprising News in the World, Lupita Nyong’o‘s inevitable (and well-deserved) Vogue cover and shoot is out and it’s as beautiful as we expected. The Oscar-winner, Lancôme spokesperson, People Magazine‘s Most Beautiful Person, and all-around lovely human was interviewed by Hamish Bowles and photographed by Mikael Jansson for the July issue, and is literally glowing on the cover in a printed Prada dress.
Our favourite part of this gorgeous look is Lupita’s matchy-matchy nails, dress and lips. What was once a major style faux-pas is now a trend we stand firmly behind. In the past few seasons, monochromatic looks have really become one of the freshest ways to elevate your style, and that goes for makeup as well. Lupita’s very berry cover is bold, bright and perfectly suited for summer. Game, set, match.

The weekend in celebrity style: See who made our top 10 best dressed
This past weekend, celebrities showed us why they are the go-to inspiration for all things fashion. Whether it’s an award show that calls for Hollywood glamour or an event that asks for a hint of casual sexiness, there’s no question the A-lists have the sartorial game down pat. From last night’s Tony Awards to Spike TV’s Guy Choice Awards, we round up our top 10 best dressed celebrities to help make sure you’re wardrobe-ready for any event this summer.
Hosted by Hugh Jackman, Hollywood stars joined the best of Broadway to celebrate the 2014 Tony Awards last night in New York City. And judging from the red carpet scene, it’s definitely no Broadway without a bit of pizazz. Kate Mara worked a heavily embellished Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2014 dress, while Jennifer Hudson sparkled (literally) on stage for her performance in a sequin number. While the two stars had plenty of reasons to stand out from the crowd in their statement outfits, we couldn’t keep our off of Leighton Meester who looked completely smitten with hubby Adam Brody by her side for their first red carpet appearance.

The week in celebrity style: See who made our top 10 best dressed
Understated glamour may as well be the theme for this week’s batch of best-dressed celebs. From Alexa Chung’s breath-taking little black dress to Shailene Woodley’s minimalistic yellow gown, we round up your top 10 best-dressed celebrities of the week.
Gucci created much buzz this week with the Italian fashion house celebrating its first anniversary of their involvement with Chime for Change as well as the launch of the much-anticipated makeup line, Gucci Cosmetics, the next day. Needless to say, especially with Beyoncé as a co-host for the gala, both events drew plenty of A-lists, from brand ambassador Blake Lively to sister/DJ/indie musician Solange to Brit socialite Poppy Delevingne.

CFDA 2014: The top 10 best dressed on last night’s fashion-forward red carpet

If you weren’t up on the CFDA awards before, chances are it’s now on your radar thanks to Rihanna attending the affair nearly naked. The event – think a more casual Met Gala – is designed to honour individuals who have made outstanding contributions to fashion. The glamorous evening involved some major wins – on stage and the red carpet.
New York’s own Joseph Altuzarra took home the coveted CFDA Womenswear Designer of the Year award. After only six years, his young label beat out both Marc Jacobs and Alexander Wang for the top prize. Altuzarra’s success was prophesized in 2012 when he won the CFDA’s Emerging Designer of the Year award.

The weekend in celebrity style: See who made our top 10 best dressed
Summer may not be officially here, but celebs sure dressed the part this past weekend at the seventh annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic in sunny New Jersey. Wearing seasonal-appropriate ensembles, A-list stars, models and fashion’s elite enjoyed each other’s company watching the polo match from the sidelines (with Behati Prinsloo throwing out the ceremonial ball toss) and toasting their vintage Rosé to the city skyline.
Some of the stars like Olivia Munn and Leigh Lezark wore little white numbers to help beat the heat, but our eyes were drawn (naturally) to Lupita Nyong’o who worked her usual understated glamour in a statement black and white patterned dress. Two other guests also stuck to the popular black and white dress code. Fifty Shades of Grey’s star Dakota Johnson donned a simple sundress and matching accessories, while Julia Restoin-Roitfeld looked ultra chic in a Dolce & Gabbana outfit with pops of colour in the accessories department.

Can you guess how much celebrities make in front row?
How much would a designer have to pay you to persuade you to sit front row? If you answered “nothing, duh” then you are not Rihanna.
Reports are gaining momentum online that reveal a hefty front row price tag for the A-list. Jessica Chastain is said to have received $80,0000 to attend an Armani Privé show during Milan Fashion Week. Seem a little steep? For $70,000, you’ll get cool girl approval by way of Chloë Sevigny.
According to The Telegraph, getting Beyoncé or Rihanna to park their (fantastic) booties along the runway will cost a cool $100,000 a piece. When you think of how frequently we are seeing these beauties front row the price tag becomes offensively impressive. If you do the math, that means Rihanna made almost a millie at Paris Fashion Week attending shows by Lanvin, Givenchy, Chanel and more.

Best statement lips: 10 celebs who are pros at wearing bright shades of orange, purple and pink lipstick
See the 10 best statement lips »
A statement lip is always a sure-fire way to dial up the glamour. With just one swipe, anyone can transform her appearance from meh to stunning. And while we’re a sucker for the timeless red lip, it would be a lie to say that our hearts don’t go racing when we spot some of our fave celebrities in punchy shades of pink, purple and orange. While Cate Blanchett and Shay Mitchell love to pair on-trend orange lipstick with relatively laid-back looks, Kate Bosworth and Marion Cotillard took their vintage Hollywood appearances to a new level of glamour and chicness with a statement-making orange look.

Met Gala 2014: The 54 best dressed on last night’s epic red carpet
See the complete Met Gala 2014 red carpet »
If reports about Anna Wintour wanting this year’s Met Gala to be more exclusive were true, they certainly did not apply to the A-list. Last night’s red carpet was stacked (and we mean stacked) with just about everyone from the recluse to rising star. Surely, it had something to do with the fact that last night was the inaugural Met Gala celebrating the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s renamed Anna Wintour Costume Center. Maybe too, it was just like the rest of us have been trained to understand: The Met Gala is not to be missed.
Honouring oft-forgotten American couturier Charles James, last night’s event was all about 1950s glamour. Its “white tie” guest-list prompted gents like Johnny Depp and Kanye West to wear tails, Zoe Saldana to wear a recreated Michael Kors bustle and both Taylor Swift and Sarah Jessica Parker to take to the stairs with over-the-top Oscar de la Renta trains. Unlike the sometimes cookie cutter Oscars, the Met Gala is a time to break out some real steez and red carpet queen Lupita Nyong’o did just that in a flapper-inspired feathered Prada dress. Perhaps more Poiret than James, the dress made for some serious chatter from both the “for” and “against” camps. Fellow red carpet queen (and queen of life, truly) Rihanna went anti-theme in a sexy stomach-baring Stella McCartney dress which killed, as usual.

The weekend in celebrity style: See who made our top 10 best dressed
A-list stars celebrated the start of May by rocking a dizzying assortment of outfits that reflected the hottest trends of this season. On Thursday night, the first annual iHeart Radio music awards took place in Los Angeles. While music diehards tuned in to watch their favourite singers on stage, we were busy keeping tabs on what they were bringing to the red carpet. Shakira and Selena Gomez shook things up in the fashion department with eye-catching two-piece ensembles, but it was Rihanna who stole the show (really, when does she not?) in a skin-baring lace dress and vibrant emerald-green lipstick.

After winning an Oscar for her breakout performance in 12 Years a Slave and becoming the international face of Lacôme, Lupita Nyong’o is capping off a successful few months by being named People Magazine’s Most Beautiful Person 2014. Is there a more befitting head to place that crown? We think not.
Not only has Nyong’o become a fashion icon in her own right, she also continues to question and change beauty standards around the globe. In her cover story, the actress told People Magazine that she never dreamed she would be deemed the “most beautiful,” equating beauty with “light skin and long, flowing hair,” as a child.
Nyong’o is known for exploring the colour spectrum when walking the red carpet, giving us kaleidoscopic hits in Calvin Klein white, Dior green and Ralph Lauren red. Here are Lupita Nyong’o’s top 10 red carpet looks thus far.
