Chanel Métiers d’Art: See the A-list front row from last night’s show in New York
This past week, the hills New York City was alive with the sound of Karl Lagerfeld and his Chanel posse taking the Big Apple (and our Instagram feed) by storm. Taking the most recent Métiers d’Art Salzburg show on the road, the Kaiser (and his team) transformed New York’s Park Avenue Armory into an opulent […]

The weekend in celebrity style: See who made our top 10 best dressed
Summer may not be officially here, but celebs sure dressed the part this past weekend at the seventh annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic in sunny New Jersey. Wearing seasonal-appropriate ensembles, A-list stars, models and fashion’s elite enjoyed each other’s company watching the polo match from the sidelines (with Behati Prinsloo throwing out the ceremonial ball toss) and toasting their vintage Rosé to the city skyline.
Some of the stars like Olivia Munn and Leigh Lezark wore little white numbers to help beat the heat, but our eyes were drawn (naturally) to Lupita Nyong’o who worked her usual understated glamour in a statement black and white patterned dress. Two other guests also stuck to the popular black and white dress code. Fifty Shades of Grey’s star Dakota Johnson donned a simple sundress and matching accessories, while Julia Restoin-Roitfeld looked ultra chic in a Dolce & Gabbana outfit with pops of colour in the accessories department.

Ashley Olsen vs. Leigh Lezark: Who was best dressed at the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic
See the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic red carpet »
This past weekend, a number of A-listers attended one of summer’s most stylish social events in Liberty State Park, New Jersey: the Sixth Annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic. Celebrating the sunshine on the first of June, many well-dressed celebrities were spotted including a dapper-looking co-host, Matthew McConaughey in a three-piece linen suit and wife Camila Alves in a yellow Herve Leger dress by his side. Models, Olympic athletes and style icons like Leigh Lezark, Ashley Olsen and Julia Restoin-Roitfeld also made their way down the red carpet looking fabulous in florals, stripes and spring colours.
The Olsen sisters are famous for their bohemian and minimalist red carpet looks. So at her first public event since the Met Gala last month, it was no surprise to see that Ashley Olsen wore another eastern-inspired dress. Dressed in a vintage red kaftan dress with gold embroidery down the front, neck and sleeves, she paired her vintage look with black Hermès studded sandals, aviator sunglasses and a small off-white shoulder bag by her label, The Row.

Street Style, New York: 33 photos featuring Doutzen Kroes, Carine Roitfeld, Michelle Harper and some new faces to watch outside the Fall 2013 shows
See 33 street style photos from New York Fashion Week »
Fashion’s fixations were back for another day of street style action outside Fall 2013’s edition New York Fashion Week, and while the usual suspects were out in full force to see big name collections including 3.1 Phillip Lim, Marc by Marc Jacobs and Donna Karan, there are quite a few new darlings that are catching our eye.
Case in point: Our new favourite gal, Shine by Three blogger Margaret Zhang who looked ripe for the ‘80s-era Wall Street picking in grey suited layers. Obviously a fan of plaid, we photographed her wearing the same pattern in Friday’s street style batch alongside a few more layers of grungy goodness. Watch that face. Another new beauty, Natasha Goldenberg, whose matador-meets-Frida Kahlo-meets-Dries Van Noten look had us all abuzz. Save for the cell phone, she looks like a snapshot of another time we’d really like travel to.

If who comes to your party is an indication of your popularity, then Carine Roitfeld is the most popular girl in Paris. The list of attendees at last night’s European launch of her special M.A.C Cosmetics collection (which ironically leaves Canadian shelves tomorrow) runs the gamut of fashion’s biggest and best.
Karl Lagerfeld, Valentino Garavani, Azzedine Alaia, Nicolas Ghesquière, Riccardo Tisci, Mario Testino, Giambattista Valli, Haider Ackermann, Anna Dello Russo, Kanye West, Natalia Vodianova, Julia Restoin-Roitfeld and many, many more turned up last night to toast the former Vogue Paris chief, editor of her own magazine and world’s most stylish grandma.

New York Fashion Week Spring 2013 Street Style: We spot Kate Bosworth, Allison Williams and a bunch of jumping editors outside Prabal Gurung and Alexander Wang
View the New York Fashion Week Spring 2013 Street Style photos »
Today’s batch of fashion week street style photos is a doozy of a style star spotter. Shot in New York (duh), our street style photographer Stefania Yarhi captured the biggest and best outside Saturday’s various shows. Outside Prabal Gurung’s Pier 57 Spring 2013 showing, Yarhi caught none other than former FASHION cover girl, Allison Williams. Looking perfectly-Prabal Gurung in a satin origami-print and pleated white dress from the designer’s Resort 2013 collection, the Girls star looked as if to be fitting into the fashion flock quite nicely. True Grit star Hailee Steinfeld was there too, in a frilly Western-inspired silk blouse and geometric-printed shorts from Prabal Gurung’s Spring 2013 collection. The actresses, however, proved no match for the giddy set of street style star editors including Anna Dello Russo, Giovana Battaglia, Miroslava Duma, Anya Ziourova and Michelle Harper, who burst into one big jump upon being photographed. Could they get any cuter?

NYFW style snaps: From Terry Richardson to Gisele, see the scene outside Alexander Wang’s Fall 2012 show
Day four and we can’t stop won’t stop! We predicted that the scene outside Alexander Wang would be full of bustle and we were right. Lewis Mirrett captured fellow photog Terry Richardson, the Very Classy Derek Blasberg, and Gisele, amongst others, all waiting to get into Wang. (Well, Gisele walked the show, so no wait for her!)

Ohmigod this is exciting: Pippa Middleton spotted in front row at Temperley!
Spotted amongst the front row usuals at yesterday’s Temperley show at the British Museum in London: none other than Pippa Middleton! Guys! Do you know what this means? Pippa’s officially courting the fashion spotlight! (Yes, we realize the amount of exclamation points accompanying this post.) While sister Duchess Kate is off do-gooding with Prince William, […]

They said/We said: Carine et entourage appear front and centre in Barneys’ new campaign
Back in March, Carine Roitfeld was unveiled as Barneys New York guest editor and stylist for the Fall 2011 campaign. As could have been expected, shots of said campaign leaked this week. As was not expected, they featured Roitfeld as the model. What’s more? The images released by WWD yesterday show Roitfeld’s children, Julia Restoin-Roitfeld and Vladimir Restoin-Roitfeld. Now, it makes sense that the campaign is titled “Carine’s World” (as if it wasn’t already).
Even the Queen knows she can’t rule without her subjects, so, naturally the campaign will also feature her stylish subjects: Marie-Amelié Sauvé in Balenciaga, Victoire de Castellane in Azzedine Alaïa, and Dasha Zhukova in Proenza Schouler. Everything was shot by Mario Sorrenti and the images will appear in Barneys’ windows as well as inside the stores and on the website as of September 2.
Yesterday there was also a campaign image released for an I.N.C project that Vogue Nippon editor-at-large, Anna Dello Russo is working on, and—surprise!—it features her as the model. Starting this fall, Dello Russso will act as editor-at-large for I.N.C, an in-house brand of Macy’s. We wonder which editor set the trend and who followed… Either way, it looks like Roitfeld and Dello Russo are on board for Operation Vogue Editors Dominating the World.
