Afternoon beauty fix: Get summer’s bright an bold makeup look—for the office!
I love summer’s trendy, bright makeup, but wearing it on my lips is too bold for work. Got any other bright ideas? Yep. Afternoon beauty fix: Look like you’re wearing false lashes, without the work
I love the look of false lashes but I hate the effort associated with them. Is there a way to get the look without the work? Maybelline’s Volum’ Express FALSIES FLARED MASCARA ($9, at drugstores) makes your natural lashes look as big as possible, which, of course, is key. The spoon-shaped brush and flexi-formula transform […]

Lash blast
I’ve got a great pair. They’re traffic stopping, authentically beautiful and genuinely all mine. Of course, I’m talking about my eyelashes.
Super long and thick, my lashes naturally curl upwards. They define and separate with the application of any mascara, regardless of price, performance or formulation. They consistently attract the attention of friends, colleagues and strangers who all ask: are your eyelashes real? And I never have to wear falsies. My eyelashes are perfect just the way they are.
I can say that. I have crap thin blonde hair, miniscule eyebrows and jiggly thighs–my eyelashes are all that I have.
Yet it still burns me when I see models in television and print ad campaigns, clearly wearing a row of false eyelashes, while promoting the next must-have mascara. It’s not fair. It misrepresents.
