Day two of London Fashion Week was a day of literal show themes. First off was Moschino Cheap & Chic, showing in London for the first time—its “Make Up Your Life” Fall collection set in Portland Place (random factoid: this is near the Portland Hospital, where everyone from Victoria Beckham to Claudia Schiffer have given birth). Before the show, we were treated to cocktails and lemonade in the grand living room of a Georgian house; makeup chairs had also been set up to go along with the theme, though the Brit celebs I spotted—Nicola Roberts, Pixie Lott, and a pregnant Peaches Geldof—didn’t seem to take notice. Also present: Olivia Palermo.

Minnie Driver wore a black Paul & Joe mini-dress with embellished shoulders to the 14th Annual Hollywood Awards Gala yesterday. From the front it looks like she’s wearing a cape or weird sleeves, but the back view reveals a big swag of fabric. Either way, is it working for you? poll by twiigs.com

Where Alannah Myles when you need her? Hilary Swank and Minnie Driver both turned up for the Conviction premiere last night in dueling (okay, not black) velvet dresses. Driver went with a strapless green frock that, with the the doodads at the side, makes it look like she’s maybe-sorta-kinda wearing the drapes, but she still looks stunning and those Loubs are amazing. Swank puts on a swirled, black-and-blue Pucci mini to show off her legs, but–and it may be the angle–the shoes are not doing anything toward that effort.

Let’s get a closer look at the shoes and accessories, shall we?
