Olympic beauty secrets: Healthy hair tips from Clara Hughes’ Calgary-based stylist
Canadian fan favourite Clara Hughes used grit to secure six Olympic medals (in speed skating and cycling) throughout her career, but what about her auburn hair? Why, that came directly from her grandmother. While Hughes swears by Kérastase hair products (“I have great hair but without good products, my hair is not so great!”), she’s not above flying Calgary stylist Brianna Hallet of SwizzleSticks Salon out to do an emergency touch-up for a speaking engagement in, say, Vancouver. Devotion indeed. We asked Hallet what it takes to do Olympic-style hair.

Kate Middleton recycles yesterday’s outfit to cheer on Zara Phillips’ silver medal on the equestrian course today
See what Kate’s been wearing to the Olympics so far! » No, that’s not a double take: Kate is indeed wearing the exact same outfit as yesterday, but with a different top underneath her Smythe blazer. Quelle recycle! Yesterday we wondered, and now we’re fairly certain that Kate’s getup is intentionally laid-back so as to not […]

A closer look at what Team Canada’s wearing to the podium during the 2012 Olympics
Now that Team Canada has scored a bronze medal in synchronized diving, it’s time we had a closer look at what our Olympians wore (and will hopefully be wearing many more times) while accepting their medal on the podium. The red-on-red (ain’t much of a surprise there!) tracksuit is a classic nod to to the […]

Style Snaps Trend: Get into the Olympic swing with 36 shots of Toronto’s most stylish donning their best gold, silver and bronze!
For those who aren’t quite ready to break out the red and white, we found another way to sartorially celebrate the Olympics. Toronto’s most stylish have been donning medal shades of gold, silver and bronze all summer long, and whether they know it or not, we’re taking that as a major vote of confidence for Team Canada’s podium standings. Our team scored a bronze this weekend in diving, and here’s hoping there are 36 more where that came from.

Kate welcomes the Olympic torch to Buckingham Palace in her own take on Team GB’s uniform (It looks perfect, of course)
See every look Kate Middleton has worn since her engagement! »
Well! In a stylish turn of events, Kate opted to save her sporty attire for this afternoon’s celebrations, which welcomed the Olympic torch to Buckingham Palace. First thought: she really has an eye for colour! You would never guess that those cobalt blue skinny jeans are not Team GB issued, but they are, in fact, Kate’s own pair from Zara. (Barefoot is one thing, but a royal in track pants? Never!)

A non-Olympic reason to head to London ASAP: Chanel has opened a pop-up beauty boutique and Sophy Robson is doing manicures!
If you happen to be in London for the Olympics, we’re warning you ahead of time: your bank account is in danger of serious depletion. Chanel is the latest label to jump on the pop-up shop bandwagon, joining the likes of Opening Ceremony by descending upon Covent Garden. (It will also be the French fashion house’s first U.K. location dedicated only to beauty and fragrance.)

Who okay-ed this? Egypt’s Olympic uniforms are Nike and Adidas knockoffs!
If you thought Ralph Lauren’s made-in-China garments for the U.S. team’s Olympic Opening Ceremony outfits were scandalous, then brace yourself for something even worse: Egypt has admitted that they not only outsourced the outfits for their 112-person Olympic team, but that the China-made products are knockoffs. The Associated Press spoke with Gen. Mahmoud Ahmed Ali […]

Karl’s latest and greatest comments on Kate (divine silhouette), Posh (unpretentious) and Choupette (hates anything attached to her body)
Karl Lagerfeld descended upon London for the launch of his Olympics-inspired collection (as well as a men’s and women’s collection) at Selfridges yesterday, showing up a fashionable two hours late to a fête in his honour. However, as is often the case with Lagerfeld, it was well worth the wait, given that the always-quotable designer soon started spouting off about everything from his Olympics-themed collection (it’s “opportunistic”) to the royals (Kate Middleton’s figure is “divine”). And, of course, no conversation with Kaiser Karl would be complete without mention of the “great beauty” Choupette, who we happened to have the great pleasure of speaking with earlier this month (not face-to-face in case you were wondering—she sent us her answers via her ever-present iPad).
