MFW Diary: We’re playing I Spy from the streets to the shows (Moschino! Versace! Cavalli!)
Moschino (left) and Versace (right) shot by Peter Stigter It’s day three in Milan and we’re playing I spy from the shows to the streets.
9:00 a.m.: I spy… A ‘90s moment at Moschino. The lineup of leather perfectos embellished with giant peace signs and hearts, oversized gold hoop earrings, quilted hip packs, gold studded bags, and slick skinny trousers instantly brought three names to mind: Naomi, Christy, Linda. A ‘90s-inspired collection requires the supermodel stars of that decade.

MFW Diary: From MaxMara’s sailor stripes to ADR’s smoking hot Prada flame shoes, the news (and a little gossip) from Milan
Max Mara (left) and Prada (right) shot by Peter Stigter Best in show: Prada. The moment the first look (head-to-toe noir with glittering embellishment) hit the graphic purple plush carpet/runway I was in love. It felt classic—very old school Prada (mixed-up prints, clean lines, slick structured bags).
The new suit for fall: Prada’s tailored jacket and cropped trousers. Regardless if you prefer the jumble of mix-and-match prints or the screaming solid orange version, at some point you’ll want them all.
Hottest shoes off the runway: Anna Dello Russo’s Prada Spring 2012 flame shoes.

Quotable: Anna Dello Russo compares herself to the Queen and plans a music career
Remember when Anna Dello Russo did a backwards yoga pose in her insane video for “Fashion Shower?” Well, looks like we’ll be seeing lots more of it! At a recent panel at London’s V&A Museum, the editrix/style star reveals that a career in music is next on her horizon: “I want to finish in fashion, […]

Merry Christmas from Anna Dello Russo!
Who needs Santa when you’ve got ADR? In her latest nonsensical yet amazing video, the kooky Italian editrix dances around in another Fausto Puglisi mini dress, glitter heels, jeweled sunnies, and an oversized wig to “Jingle Bells” along with an unidentified friend. (Radio Deejay, perhaps?) We have no idea what’s going on here, but we […]

Previously on Fashion’ween: Karl Lagerfeld »For our fourth day of Fashion’ween, we bring you the ultimate icon for show-stopping dress up: none other than Vogue Nippon editrix, Anna Dello Russo. Famed for her many fantastical getups, the key to authenticating Dello Russo’s look is easier than it looks—it’s all about the mini dress, the sparkle, the tan, and the larger-than-life hair accessory.
Before, after, or during your fashion shower, follow along as we break down her look:

SNP’s word of the day: Orientalism
Illustration by Lewis Mirrett Word: Orientalism

They said/We said: Carine Roitfeld held a vampire-themed costume party last night in Paris
Photography by Eric Ryan/Getty Images Has True Blood fever hit France? In celebration of Carine Roitfeld’s new book, Irreverent, she held a vampire ball in Paris last night where fashion’s biggest stars were expected to dress up and get into character. Naturally, some were more enthusiastic than others. Riccardo Tisci showed up with fake blood dripping from his mouth and Anna Dello Russo wore a Stephen Jones X Giles scarlet swan feather headdress that she described as “aggressive.” Other partygoers like Kanye West and Karl Lagerfeld dressed as per their usual. Perhaps they didn’t get the memo. Perhaps Kanye was still mid-fit.
Is Roitfeld is a Bill or Eric fan? We’re hoping the latter.

Hell has frozen over: Anna Dello Russo has worn the same dress at least 4 times this month
Photography by Lewis Mirrett Anna Dello Russo has been seen in almost-the-same dress not twice, not three times, but four times. And during fashion month, too! A shande. Dello Russo first appeared in the embellished little (and we mean little) number alongside model Karolina Kurkova during Fashion’s Night Out in New York. They were twins, and it was cute. Little did we know that the twin trend would rage on… and on. We’re not sure if Kate Middleton‘s recycling ways are rubbing off on the typically over the top Vogue Nippon editor, or that she’s trying (and trying hard) to promote her fellow countryman, Italian designer Fausto Puglisi, who’s behind the fraternal twin creations. Either way, we’re just wondering how upset Tommy Ton is.

PFW style snaps: We spotted Rachel Zoe, Anna Wintour, Mario Testino, Anna Dello Russo, and Patrick Demarchelier
Photography by Lewis Mirrett We’ve got another beautiful selection of photos from Paris today, including snaps of some of the most major names in the biz, like Anna Wintour, Grace Coddington, Mario Testino, Patrick Demarchelier, Anna Dello Russo, and Rachel Zoe. Plus, a bunch of pretty girls carrying branded balloons, something we can’t say we’ve seen before!

PFW style snaps: We spotted all the pretty people outside of Balmain
Photography by Lewis Mirrett Today’s style snaps look like they should be taking place in the spring. Unseasonably warm temperature means less clothing, and less options for those who packed their Paris fashion week luggage full of boots, scarves, and sweaters. Still, everyone pulled it off. Enjoy the photos, and pretend (like we are) that you’re basking in the warm Parisian sun.
