The Rita Ora for Roberto Cavalli campaign is a print-lover’s paradise
Check out the entire campaign here »
British songstress Rita Ora is the latest face of Roberto Cavalli. This collaboration, shot by renowned photographer Francesco Carrozzini, has been expected since evidence of the shoot was posted on Instagram back in April. However it does come as a surprise that Roberto Cavalli, who recently bashed designers for using celebrities in advertising, would choose Rita Ora (otherwise known as Rihanna Lite) for his own brand. If you can’t beat ’em join ’em, right?

Prada’s Menswear Fall 2013 ads star buzzy actor trio Christoph Waltz, Ben Whishaw and Ezra Miller
See the Prada Menswear Fall 2013 ads »
Leave it to Prada to always find the cool. Following its much praised menswear ads and runway show starring Gary Oldman, Garett Hedlund, Willem Dafoe and Jamie Bell last fall, the brand has captured three of this year’s buzziest actors in its latest campaign for Fall 2013. The ads star Christoph Waltz, the two-time Tarantino Oscar winner (most recently for his comically twisted role as Dr. King Shultz in Django Unchained), Ben Whishaw, a rising British actor, and Ezra Miller, the baby-faced breakout star of Perks of Being a Wallflower.
Shot by photographer David Sims in London, the New Wave-inspired shots are said to introduce a “duality of wit and style at the heart of the modern man’s attitude to dressing.” Each of the three actors capture aspects of Prada’s Fall 2013 collection—Waltz the elegance, Whishaw the carefree alt charm and Miller, the youthful burst.

The wait was worth it: after 16 years, Chloë Sevigny is reprising her role as Miu Miu’s girl-du-jour by gracing their latest fall campaign, shot by the Mert and Marcus team. True to Miu Miu’s Fall 2012 ready-to-wear collection, which was ‘70s-esque pantsuit-heavy, the Hit and Miss actress is decked out in a pair of […]

Crystal Renn “shocked” by those skinny images of herself
Crystal Renn’s curves have been the subject of much praise lately for diversifying the model landscape. So imagine everyone’s surprise (not to mention her own) when those admired curves appeared to be missing. In a recent batch of photos of Renn posing in Fashion for Passion‘s latest tees, the model appears to be a few sizes smaller, creating an outburst in the blogosphere and causing her agent to immediately assert that she is still “a solid size ten.” Renn herself has just commented on the images in a recent interview:

Maggie Rizer stars in Dooney & Bourke’s fall campaign
Model Maggie Rizer has been tapped for accessories makers Dooney & Bourke’s fall ads. This after a string of celebs, including Lindsay Lohan and Hayden Panettiere, fronting the line. Rizer’s had some well-publicized troubles in recent years–her stepfather drained her of her modelling money in 2003, a case she won three years later–and though she’s mostly retired, we’re happy to see she’s resurfaced in such a beautiful campaign. It also gives us an excuse to show a video of the Viktor & Rolf Fall 1999 fashion show, where Rizer is slowly covered in the Dutch pair’s collection. After the jump.

Suddenly Iris Strubegger
When I saw this Fall 2009 Valentino ad recently, my first thought was, Wow Kristen McMenamy has some great legs. While I’m sure she does, the legs in question actually belong to Austrian model Iris Strubegger, who is suddenly popping up everywhere.

Jerry Hall plays Mrs. Robinson for Chanel
For Chanel’s exclusive spring accessories catalogue, Karl Lagerfeld was inspired by Léa de Lonval (a Mrs. Robinson-esque character from Colette’s Chéri). The star? The intimable Jerry Hall wooing an inappropriately young Turk. We’ve got more shots after the jump.
