Fashion news: Gaga Barbie, Coco Rocha does the Grammys, a Rihanna picture book and more
Photos via Veik11 Flickr Doll “player” Veik would surely win any contest for “Dress your Barbie as Lady Gaga.” The intricate costumes include Jean Charles de Castelbajac’s Kermit coat and Gaga’s “Paparazzi” and “Bad Romance” outfits–there’s even a DIY for the mini McQueen anteater shoes! Stam and Coco love their Timmy’s
Coco Rocha and Jessica Stam are apparently thrilled at the in-roads Tim Hortons is making in NYC. Stam tweeted last week that she discovered an outpost four blocks from her apartment and friend and fellow Canuck Coco Rocha replied, “I found it! Timmy Ho’s in NYC!!! Life is complete.” That’s right: Timmy Ho’s.

Coco Rocha is launching a clothing line
Coco Rocha at work on her sketches Claudia Schiffer may be having a tough time finding someone to help her launch a clothing line, but Coco Rocha is apparently ready to go. The 21-year-old model announced via her blog, Oh So Coco, that she’ll be designing a line. No details yet, not even a name. For that, Rocha is enlisting the public’s help. So, if you want to use your creativity to help a model in need, you can make your suggestions in the comments on her post.
Check out the video after the jump to see Coco cuddling with her pooch and flipping through some preliminary sketches. (The quick shot showed skinny pants, and a pencil skirt paired with a bracelet sleeve jacket.) [Oh So Coco]

This week’s New York Magazine has named Anna Wintour one of the 12 most powerful New Yorkers. This news didn’t come as too shocking, but more confusing is the fact that the Vogue powerhouse is the sole woman to make the list. [The Cut]

Gallery: Coco Rocha, Alexa Chung, The Stills and Stefan Brogren at the Holts party
Coco Rocha, Alexa Chung and The Stills hit up Queen West Saturday night for the Holt Renfrew party in honour of Geoff Barrenger’s pair of short fashion vignettes. Chung, U.K. MTV VJ and ex-model, DJ’ed the party and her set was much more fun than the professional DJ who spun before and after her. The Stills played a set, entreating the high-heeled fashion and film flock to stop being so genteel and come closer to the stage. Films of Coco cavorting with Behati were projected on the Burroughes Building’s sixth floor’s whitewashed walls. Check out our party gallery after the jump and then go watch the shorts on Holts’ site.

Video: Coco Rocha’s life is pretty damn glamourous
We always suspected that being a model essentially entailed montages of swinging around guitars and shopping bags and running down hallways barefoot in an evening gown, and Coco Rocha has confirmed our suspicions. Rocha has conceived a bit of fun self-promotion for Modelina.com, set to JET’s “She’s a Genius.” It’s basically a fantasy day in the life of a Rocha, created to promote Fashion’s Night Out.
Check out the photo’s below from FNO: Rocha, Alexander Wang, Sessilee Lopez, Raquel Zimmermann et al. rock out on inflatable air guitars.

Golden girls of another sort. Gallery after the jump.

Video: Grace Coddington vs. giant scarves in The September Issue
Two more clips from The September Issue are making the rounds. The premiere is tonight at the MoMA in New York, but it won’t make it to a theatre near (some of) you until October. The first clip shows some light Sienna Miller hair drama–the blonde bobbed wig they were using to cover her lank hair didn’t really work out, leading to the top knot that eventually made the shot. The second clip features Grace Coddington and her wild hair tending to Raquel Zimmermann, Coco Rocha and some gigantic knits. (Remember those big orange scarves from Giles?)
Enticingly brief clips after the jump.

If you missed the first Yves Saint Laurent auction in February, there’s a second, smaller sale happening in November. The money will go to charity so there’s really no reason not to snap up Yves’ Mercedes-Benz or Hermès luggage. [Yahoo!]
