Fashion’s Night Out, a shopping celebration organized by Vogue in each of its global cities has expanded from a one night affair into six nights. What was last year referred to as a “drunken chaos,” and saw Barbara Walters singing a duet with Oscar de la Renta, will kick off in France on September 7, end in Greece and Turkey on the 16th, with countries like Britain, Australia, India and Taiwan in between. Sadly, Canada was nowhere to be seen on the bill.  [WWD]

In the wake of Alexander McQueen‘s death, the question of “what now” is obviously on everyone’s mind. While long-term plans remain unknown,  his upcoming Paris show is supposedly still scheduled to be presented. The collection was apparently completed a week prior to the designer’s death, and sources say that there is no change to the delivery dates of showpieces commissioned specifically for the runway. U.S. department store Macy’s flagship Herald Square location was evacuated yesterday after an escalator caught fire. The blaze was minor and there were no injuries–except to Macy’s sales figures. [Racked]
