Who is Princess Letizia? 10 looks that confirm Spain’s soon-to-be queen is a royal one to watch
See Princess Letizia’s 10 best looks »
Looks like a royal fashion face off could be coming to a gossip rag near you! It’s no secret that we’re under Kate Middleton’s spell, but it seems our girl crush has made us blind to another Euro fashion icon: Spain’s Princess Letizia. Since her marriage to Prince Filipe in May 2004 (Happy belated, you two), her father in law King Juan Carlos has recently decided to pass the reigns down to his son, seeing it time for a younger generation to take over. And along the way the soon-to-be queen has proved herself a must-watch for style inspo. At the age of 41 with two daughters by her side, she is proof that age and motherhood can do a girl good.
In need of a Princess Letizia cheat sheet? Before marrying into the royal family she earned a masters degree in journalism and had a successful career as a television anchor, following in the footsteps of her father Jesús Ortiz Álvarez who was also a prominent journalist and her grandmother Menchu Álvarez del Valle, a radio broadcaster in her day. She even won the Madrid Press Association’s 2010 Larra Award for most accomplished journalist under 30. We’re impressed. Oh, and for some gossip, she also had a previous one-year marriage to a high school lit teacher 6 years before she joined the royals, making her the first divorced queen when she’s crowned queen on June 19, 2014

Who is Cressida Bonas? A guide to Prince Harry’s girlfriend’s boho style
A guide to Cressida Bonas style »
For the past few days, the interwebs have been positively abuzz with talk of Cressida Bonas, girlfriend of Prince Harry and reported soon-to-be fiancé. Though the two have been romantically linked since mid-2012, talk of marriage has always come second to “just being Harry” style snippets out of Vegas and the like. Lately though, it seems as if the two are becoming serious, as evidenced by Bonas accompanying Prince Harry twice in the last week at two public events. On Friday, Bonas attended the launch of We Day UK at Wembley Arena, where the Prince addressed 12,000 students. Then on Sunday, the couple took in a rugby match at Twickenham in West London (England beat Wales, which allowed for some PDA).
We don’t know too much about Cressida Bonas. Elsewhere, her stats are reported like an athlete’s trading card but here’s a quick summary: She’s 25, aristocratic (she hails from the Curzon clan which has direct links to Edward VII) and her half sister Isabella Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe, who is currently married to Richard Branson’s son, was once the apple of Prince William’s eye. Her half brother, Jacobi Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe, a friend of Harry, is described as “a man about town.” She’s mega tight with Princess Eugenie, who was the one that originally hooked the two up.

Edie Sedgwick Style: This It girl’s reign returns to the runways this season
See Edie Sedgwick’s style in life and on the runways »
Though she dominated just a sliver of time at Andy Warhol’s Factory in the sixties, Edie Sedgwick’s platinum blond bob, magpie style and tragic penchant for the excess has transfixed designers and artists alike long since her death by drug overdose in 1971. This season, Sedgwick is back into the spotlight thanks to perennial cool maker Marc Jacobs, who opened his Spring 2013 collection with one so unquestionably Edie look: a simple striped black and white T-shirt worn over hot pants, a platinum blond bob and low slung kitten heels. The look transformed for Fall 2013, with boudoir ready looks hitting the runways over and over at Louis Vuitton and Saint Laurent.
The original Poor Little Rich Girl splashed onto the art scene starring in the Warhol-directed at film of the same name in 1965, and quickly deemed a “youthquaker” by Diana Vreeland, then editor of Vogue. She entered icon territory when rumoured paramour Bob Dylan left traces of her within “Just Like a Woman,” and “Leopard Skin Pillbox Hat.”
Sedgwick embodied the freewheeling sixties with her more is more approach to layering fur and leopard print over striped T-shirts (worn simply as dresses) while accessorizing with shoulder length chandelier earrings, exaggerated mod eye makeup and false lashes. Since, everyone from Courtney Love to Agyness Deyn and most recently Emma Watson has replicated her style. She’s become an inspirational mainstay over the years, re-appearing every few seasons in a new form at Burberry, Proenza Schouler and Dior Couture and more. Even Sofia Coppola fell under the spell, with a onetime capsule collection designed as an ode to Sedgwick in 1994. Sedgwick’s popularity reached fever pitch a few years back with the 2006 biopic Factory Girl starring Sienna Miller, whose own style was bound to Sedgwick’s at the time.

Lana Del Rey style: A chronological guide to the singer’s best fashion moments
See Lana Del Rey’s style evolution »
See our Lana Del Rey cover shoot »What can you say about Lana Del Rey? Well, what can’t you say about Lana Del Rey. Since she burst onto Youtube with her questionably homemade video for “Video Games,” her beestung lips, larger-than-life bouffant hair and exaggerated almond nails have utterly transfixed. If you’ve ever visited this site, you’d know how much. (Case in point: this step-by-step tutorial)
In her videos, she’s channelled everyone from Marilyn Monroe to Nancy Sinatra. In performances, she’s a total badass. Her vintage aesthetic has been used to sell H&M, Mulberry, Jaguar and more loosely, the American dream. IRL, Lana Del Rey’s style is akin to a modern-day hipster. Her look is constantly transforming, and as such, deserves observing.
In celebration of our current cover girl, we set out to document our favourite Lana Del Rey style and fashion moments on and off screen. Beginning with her first awards show appearance in Prabal Gurung’s ubiquitous floral-print dress and later, in standout looks from Vivienne Westwood, Versace and more, we catch LDR at her very best. And since we know that the latest greatest look is always around the corner, we’ll be adding to this look book á la this never-ending ode to the Duchess of Cambridge.
