Look out for another model extravaganza featuring Kate Moss and Natalia Vodianova, as well as celebs like Nicole Ritchie and Joel Madden. We also spotted one piece from Prada’s spring collection, which begs the question: when can we order?

Last week at the Calgary International Film Festival (calgaryfilm.com) opening night gala, FASHION and a stylish crowd celebrated the beginning of a 10-day Alberta film frenzy with a red carpet walk, the world-premiere of Jim Cliffe’s déjà vu flick, Donovan’s Echo, and a champagne reception with food truck fare at Eighth Avenue Place.

Veteran actor Bruce Greenwood arrived by limo to help present the film, in which he plays a police officer and friend to another movie-vet, Danny Glover.

Outside of the obvious rage of polka dots, studs, and stripes that we’ve seen everywhere so far this fall, we’re noticing something interesting: everyone wears Prada. All the time. Try to see how many show-goers you can spot in last spring or this fall’s wears in our snaps from New York and so far in Milan, it’s uncanny!

In case you haven’t heard: Prada was hot! Flaming hot! Miuccia Prada knew she had us when she came out for her bow—a warm and knowing smile on her lips. And had us she did.

Before the show, would I have dreamed of desiring a satin varsity jacket with airbrushed flames shooting out the back? Not on your life. So why is it, hours after the show, I can think of nothing but? Such is the genius of Mrs. Prada—the ability to take something that could be cutesy or kitsch and subtly render it sublime. From the Styrofoam cars and auto-mechanic set, to the last flame-throwing needle-nose stiletto the spring collection was “Go Grease Lightning” through and through.

While the trends for next spring are being dreamed up for next spring inside Lincoln Center and across Chelsea, we’re spotting quite a few outside as well. In today’s snaps especially, we can’t help but notice all the vibrant neon green amazingness, as well all the spring and fall Prada. Can you count ’em?
