TIFF 2012: Which of Jennifer Lawrence’s 3 Katniss-inspired dresses do you like best?
View Jennifer Lawrence’s TIFF looks »
Even IRL, Jennifer Lawrence is the girl on fire. Choosing very different yet equally striking looks for three of her TIFF appearances, looked as if to be playing three Cinna-approved parts. First, it was what we’ll call the District 12 look: At the premiere of A Place Beyond the Pines, Lawrence paired a cobalt blue lace Dior halter dress with a simple cat-eye, and pulled back hair (we can’t confirm a side braid). Then it was what we’ll call the Ceaser Flickerman show look: At her own red carpet premiere for The Silver Linings Playbook, Jennifer Lawrence seriously thrilled in a multi-coloured strapless Dior Couture gown, cranberry lips and straight, side-pinned hair. Earlier today, the actress switched it up once more, in a form-fitting white Antonio Berardi day-dress at press conference alongside co-star Bradley Cooper. On her way to the conference, Jennifer Lawrence was shot wearing oversized Ray-Bans, which amped the city slicker look up a notch further. So, which did you like best?

TIFF 2012: Gwyneth Paltrow continues her reign as queen of the babes in a backless Tom Ford dress
See the Gwyneth Paltrow at TIFF red carpet photos »
The GOOP-y goodness that is Gwyneth Paltrow shed its glimmering shimmering light on Toronto last night, as the megawatt star hit the TIFF red carpet for the premiere of her new film Thanks for Sharing. Many giggles ensued as the cast— which also includes a bearded Mark Ruffalo, the still-sexy Ed Norton, a wispy-banged Tim Robbins and Patrick Fugit, who OMG looks way different than he did as the wide-eyed writing prodigy William Miller in Almost Famous—posed for photos. Could they be laughing about sexy jokes? Maybs. The film is about sex addiction after all. LOLs!

TIFF 2012: Keira Knightley wears Elie Saab couture on the Anna Karenina red carpet
See our full gallery from the Anna Karenina TIFF red carpet! »
The much-anticipated TIFF premiere of Anna Karenina took place on Friday night and Keira Knightley and Jude Law walked the red carpet in outfits that were almost as opulent as the costumes from the film itself. For Keira Knightley, this meant an impeccable haute couture Elie Saab dress from the designer’s Fall 2012 collection—certainly one of the top fashion moments from TIFF so far.

TIFF 2012: Kristen Stewart stuns in Zuhair Murad at the Toronto premiere of On The Road

RPatz who? Kristen Stewart certainly brought her A-game to Toronto last night, with bright pink lips, killer heels, a high ponytail and a stunning Zuhair Murad dress embellished with sequins and lace for the TIFF premiere of On The Road. Considering it was her first appearance post-scandal, the sleek outfit did not disappoint. There may have been doubts leading up to her moment on the TIFF red carpet, with many of the very dedicated fans who were camped outside Ryerson Theatre expressing worry that Kristen Stewart wouldn’t actually show up. Instead she was just a somewhat-fashionable hour late to TIFF—and slightly skittish in a “I’m really worried you’re going to ask me about Robert Pattinson” sort of way.

Best dressed in Venice: Vote for your favourite red carpet look
As a pre-cursor to TIFF, the Venice Film Festival can sometimes be seen as a rival to our Canadian red carpet extravaganza. Luckily though, the Italian festival has given us a glamorous preview of what to look forward to style-wise from the celebrities that are expected to hit our fair city later this week. In past years at TIFF, stars have been know to dress down for their big premieres, rather than go full-out glamour as they have this year at Cannes and now in Venice. But don’t fret, we can still expect to see all of our favourite designers showcased on and off the red carpet this year. Stay tuned, as we’ll be updating the latest looks from Venice as they come in.

Celeb poll: Who was best dressed at TIFF?
Praise the red carpet gods! The stars really pulled out all the stops this year at TIFF, which was great to see, given some years’ lackluster outings. Lace, length, and print were big trends this year, and so were megawatt designers, from Marisa Tomei‘s Proenza Schouler, to Madonna‘s Tom Ford, to Elizabeth Olsen‘s Erdem. They’re all big winners in our eyes, but if you HAD to choose, who would be your favourite? Vote after the jump!

TIFF red carpet: Ten Year’s Channing Tatum, Ari Graynor, and Scott Porter tell us who they’d go to a reunion with
Your mom will probably want to compare the movie Ten Year, about high school friends coming together for one night at their 10 year reunion, with movies like The Big Chill. And your older sister will probably compare it to Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion, but while the movie does have some similar themes against the backdrop of who-we-were-then-isn’t-who-we-are-now, what it has that these do not is the most genetically blessed graduating class ever assembled. Case in point, the cast-members who showed up at TIFF to promote the film: Channing Tatum, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, Justin Long, Ari Graynor, Kate Mara, Brian Geraghty, Lynn Collins, Oscar Isaac, Kelly Noonan, and Scott Porter. There may have been more, but we ran out of fingers.
We asked the cast, who of their co-stars they would want to go to a reunion with. Read their answers after the jump:

TIFF red carpet: We talk BFFs with Seth Rogen at the 50/50 premiere
At the premiere of 50/50, the Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogen comedy that takes something depressing—Levitt’s character gets diagnosed with cancer—and makes it funny. Rogen, as his goofy best friend, helps him navigate the diagnosis, which gives him a 50 per cent chance of surviving. On the red carpet, fans (mostly female) had DVDs of 300 Days of Summer waiting for a signature from JGL, but since he was the last of the cast to arrive, they got a lot more love from his co-stars Anna Kendrick (in a poofy teal dress that felt more prom than Oscar-nom) and Bryce Dallas Howard (taking maternity style and the humid day by storm in a flowing maxi dress).

TIFF red carpet: Olivia Wilde, Ashley Greene, and Alicia Silverstone all rocked metallic dresses last night. Who wore it best?
At last night’s premiere and after-party for Butter, Olivia Wilde, Ashley Greene, and Alicia Silverstone all looked similarly, well, buttery and shiny! Wilde in a stunning white Grecian Marchesa gown with gold beading, Greene in a white and metallic-thread Oscar de la Renta dress, and Silverstone in a charming Proenza Schouler cocktail number. Who wore it best? Vote after the jump!

TIFF red carpet: We’re getting a “Human Nature” vibe from Madonna’s W.E. premiere getup
As usual, Madonna was looking insanely amazing on the red carpet at the TIFF premiere of her new film W.E. Though the Tom Ford sheer-topped dressed, satin Brian Atwood Mary Janes, and fishnets are far from a head-to-toe leather catsuit, we can’t help but hear “Express yourself, don’t repress yourself” on loop in our heads. It’s her “Human Nature” look all over again! Amazing, amazing, and about a million more amazings after that.

TIFF red carpet: Elizabeth Olsen dishes on her Erdem gown. Meanwhile, Juliette Lewis shows up in jeans!
At the red-carpet screening of Martha Marcy May Marlene, the taut, psychological tale of a woman recovering from time spent in a sexual cult, were stars Elizabeth Olsen, Sarah Paulson, Hugh Dancy, and writer/director Sean Durkin. Fresh from the Vanity Fair party the night before that celebrated the film, Olsen looked stunning in a long Erdem gown in rich jewel tones, which she says she chose because “it has great colour, and it feels like a long, pretty maxi. It’s the only thing I’ve put on that fit me right away.” She paired the elegant ’40s-style dress with bright-blue heels by Jason Wu.

Kirsten Dunst stepped out for last night’s Melancholia premiere in a ’40s inspired pairing: a navy polka-dot button down blouse and a long pleated white skirt. Can we just say: we love! Kiki’s been looking real good lately, so much so that we’re shopping in the name of!
