On a greyish autumn morning (in Australia that is), fashion press, retailers and industry people click-clop along the impressive Sydney Harbour foreshore towards the Overseas Passenger Terminal for the Spring/Summer 2011/2012 collections. Cruise ships dock at the large glass structure on the lip of the water, but we’re here to be transported through five days of presentations by the best Australia has to offer. Party snaps! The Bay’s over-the-top ode to Anna Dello Russo and Tommy Ton
Should you ever find yourself in a similar predicament, the most appropriate way to fête an international fashion superstar in the hometown of her photog paramour would be to roll out the leopard carpet, send in the trannies and keep the bubbly flowing until a dance party ensues amidst racks of designer duds.

Party pics: See our favourite looks from Holt Renfrew’s Tommy Ton fête
A party at Holt Renfrew in honour of shoes and a fashion blogger almost sounds too cliché to be true. It probably would be if Holt Renfrew couldn’t pull that kind of thing off (which they did) and if the attendees weren’t suckers for shoes (which we are).

Shoe industry taken over by bloggers, Holts shoe section taken over by Tommy Ton
Love them or hate them, bloggers have taken over the fashion industry faster than an army of bedbugs at Hollister. Their front row stints is old news by now, but it’s worth checking out how the blogger’s influence affects not only what we decide to wear, but what is designed in the first place. In […]

Well that was a big letdown. The “CRAZY!!!!” secret Tommy Ton was privy to was apparently nothing more than a prank by Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci.
