Try this now: How to get peach-pink hair just like Sienna Miller
If you are blonde, we demand that you spend the evening doing whatever you can to mimic Sienna Miller’s perfectly peach-coloured hair. The perpetual trendsetter debuted the playful shade at last night’s British Fashion Awards and we feel pretty confident in saying that tubs of Manic Panic have been flying off the shelves ever since.
“You’re crazy,” you might be thinking. “Manic Panic doesn’t look like that!” Ah, but forget everything you learned about florescent dye jobs in your teenage years and instead think of Manic Panic as the main ingredient in a custom colour-depositing conditioner. While colour-depositing conditioners are often used to maintain the vibrant look of just-dyed hair, when you’re seeking an unusual colour like Miller’s peachy-pink, it’s a surefire way to add just a hint of colour.

Best celebrity colour changes of the season: 7 blonde, red and even grey (!) dye jobs worth trying
See the best celebrity hair colour changes up close »
We’re smack in the middle of the lazy, hazy days of summer and, if you’re anything like us, heat and humidity equal doing as little as possible when it comes to hair and makeup. Which makes it the perfect time to mix things up with a new hair colour—aside from an afternoon spent at the salon (or at the hands of a trusted friend) a new shade is the easiest way to refresh your otherwise low-maintenance look.
In order to inspire a change, we’re taking a look back at some of the best celebrity dye jobs from the past few months. While a number of these looks were all part of the day’s work—like Jennifer Lawrence ditching her Katniss hair colour for honey blonde or Emma Stone returning to her (faux) red roots—other dye jobs seemed to signal a change in personality. There is no doubt, after all, that a new hair colour can make you feel like a new person. (At least, that’s what Miley Cyrus keeps telling us!)

Demi Lovato’s blonde vs. Carly Rae Jepsen’s red: Which popstar’s new hair colour do you like best?
Who doesn’t love a good change? Two of the music industry’s top talents, Demi Lovato and Carly Rae Jepsen, certainly enjoy switching things up—both popstars debuted radically new hair colours last night and we absolutely love the results.
First up: Demi Lovato. She’s ditched her raven locks for a delightful shade of honey-blonde. (Lovato showed off her new hair colour yesterday evening, when she was honoured for her charitable work at the National Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day.) Although we’ve seen her go blonde before, this time around the the X Factor judge paired the colour change with a shorter cut. Together, the new colour and cut has a very sophisticated look and it paired beautifully with her all-white ensemble at the ceremony.

Rachel McAdams vs. Mad Men’s Joan: Which redhead wore purple best?
Get a closer look at Rachel McAdams’ new red hair »
Today’s edition of Who Wore It Best is a battle of the redheads: Rachel McAdams at Jimmy Kimmel Live vs. Christina Hendricks as Joan in season six of Mad Men.
Rachel McAdams recently converted to being a ginger with a new auburn hair colour that she debuted on Monday night in Los Angeles. Wearing a two-piece purple ensemble on Jimmy Kimmel Live—and she made sure to explain that it was not a jumpsuit—she blabbed about living in Toronto (!!!) and told a hilarious story about the time a grocery store clerk gave her some pot. Canada’s sweetheart just got a little bit more real.
The combination of the entirely purple look with fiery red locks jogged our memory of a recent outfit worn by everyone’s favourite redhead, Joan Holloway/Harris. Joan’s similar two-piece outfit from the season six premiere of Mad Men doesn’t feature sheer paneling like McAdams’, but instead has a dark purple vest that allows a ruffled button-up to show through. We must remember that this is a show set in the past, you guys.
Purple is a great tone for those with reddish locks so who do you think wears the colour better? Vote in our poll!

Lindsay Lohan is attempting to be a redhead again
Sometimes it seems that nothing can ever go right in Lindsay Lohan’s life. Whether it’s a night out that turns into a screaming match with her mom (featuring an appearance from the police) or a seemingly simple trip to the hair salon that ends with her the wrong shade of red, things aren’t always easy for Lilo.
The star of Liz & Dick (which we’re actually excited to see) walked the red carpet at the Mr. Pink Ginseng Drink launch party last night and debuted a new and extremely uneven dye job. After being a strawberry blonde for most the summer, the actress/singer/paparazzi’s #1 gal showed off a deep auburn colour with an accidental ombré effect. Her roots show a tinge of deep-purple, the middle is washed-out and the ends seem to be doing their own fiery red thing.

New York Fashion Week Spring 2013 backstage beauty: The secret behind Jessica Stam’s new raven-coloured hair
Backstage at Rodarte, I bumped into former FASHION cover girl Jessica Stam, who opened the show. I almost didn’t recognize her because of her raven hair, which she switched to a few months ago for the Met’s Schiaparelli and Prada exhibit. The shade really seemed to suit the “modern medieval” look and severe side parts Odile Gilbert crafted to appear as though models had shaved one half of their head. “I did it [again] a week ago,” Stam said of her new colour, leaving out the part about it being a cover up for a dye job gone wrong.

Lana Del Rey debuts black hair that’s right on trend for fall
What better time to try a darker hair colour than fall? Lana Del Rey debuted black hair at last night’s GQ Men of the Year Awards—a move that’s right in step with both runway and red carpet trends. Considering that Lady Gaga dubbed her own recent change to a darker hair colour “Louis Vuitton brown” what should Lana Del Rey label her own black hair?

Jessica Alba and Kim Kardashian both hit up the blonde dye bottles this weekend
While the change of seasons often inspires a turn to darker hair colours, both Jessica Alba and Kim Kardashian added blonde ombré highlights over the weekend. Last Thursday, Alba tweeted “bye bye brown hair” before spending two days in the salon to perfectly lighten the ends of her naturally dark hair.

After dropping hints all weekend, Lady Gaga finally shares a picture of her just-dyed brown hair
Considering that Lady Gaga is as known for her shock-tactic aesthetic as she is her music, the fact that the perennially blonde pop star has darkened her tresses to a natural brunette is perhaps the most startling news we’ve heard out of The Haus of Gaga in a while.

Miley’s gone blonde and Taylor’s now brunette! Which new dye job do you like best?
In breaking hair colour news, two pop sensations with a love for country have given their locks a serious colour overhaul over the past couple days.
Recently engaged Miley Cyrus tweeted a phone-snapped pic of her new blonde tresses, along with the message “Now that I’m blonde I gotta give duck lips in every photo” (we have no idea what that could possibly mean). The Hannah Montana star also shed a few inches, giving her locks a fresh departure from the long, auburn style she’d been wearing over the past year.
