Net-a-Porter turns 15 this year, and there’s no denying it’s one overachieving teen. Since going live in 2000 (cue dial-up Internet sound effects), the London-based e-tailer has spawned offshoot websites The Outnet and Mr. Porter, launched a magazine, and recently introduced luxe sportswear into their inventory, because, you know, #athleisure. So their latest venture should come as […]

Levi’s and Net-a-Porter have released a capsule collection of the classic 501 jeans you love
With denim dominating the Spring 2015 runways (and Rihanna, Kanye West and Paul McCartney’s FourFiveSeconds music video), we’d be lying if we said we weren’t counting down the days until spring, when jeans become a serious wardrobe staple. But if you’re on the hunt for a new pair, look no further, because Net-A-Porter and Levi’s […]

As many designer-loving brides have already figured out, white wedding dresses are simply that: white dresses. (Actually, sometimes wedding dresses aren’t even white, but I digress.) As such, searching for wedding dresses in unexpected places might just produce unexpected results. Target’s next designer collab has been announced: Peter Pilotto is coming (and it’ll be online, too!)
Hot on the heels of 3.1 Phillip Lim’s collection for Target (battle scars from yesterday, anyone?) Peter Pilotto has just been announced as the next designer collaboration for the superstore. The partnership was made public earlier today at the Peter Pilotto Spring 2014 runway show in London. Given how brilliant that collection was, we cannot wait to see what digital prints and bold colours will be coming to Target in February.
According to an interview with British Vogue, Pilotto’s decision to work with Target was motivated by the retailer’s mass popularity: “By working with Target, we’re able to broaden our reach and bring our design aesthetic to an entirely new audience.” Co-creative director Christophe De Vos continued, “Our collection for Target embodies the elegance and spirit of our own line, but makes it accessible to everyone.”

Net-A-Porter launches Art Capsul in collaboration with Marina Abramovic, George Condo and Terence Koh
When the art world and the fashion industry collide, you can expect nothing short of greatness, especially when it involves our favourite one-stop shop for luxury fashion, Net-A-Porter.
Working together with chief curator of contemporary art at New York’ National Arts Club, Stacy Engman, the e-commerce site is bringing art and fashion together for a made-to-order collection called the Art Capsul project. Coming from different art genres, the project features five worldwide known artists: Marina Abramovic, George Condo, Vik Muniz, Mickalene Thomas and Canada’s very own, Terence Koh.
Engman told WWD, “It is the first time this has ever been done. I’ve asked artists to conceive of garments that reference their artwork [and] that is entirely by them…there is no pairing with a fashion designer.”
The wearable art collection was exhibited last Wednesday at Paris’s Palais de Tokyo Museum during Couture Week.
