The week in celebrity style: See who made our top 10 best dressed
While we are busy figuring out what swimsuits to wear with what outfits, our fave celebs are a whole season ahead of the rest of us pulling out enviable Fall 2014 pieces for red carpet appearances this past week, including the annual Serpentine Gallery Summer Party in London. At an event where the best of the art, film and fashion industries gather to raise funds for the well-loved gallery, you can bet the guest list will be nothing short of the most important (and fashionable) people including British royalty, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, and It girls like Lily Allen, Naomi Campbell and Alexa Chung. And since the party was sponsored by menswear brand Brioni, there was no doubt a party of dapper men (Pharell Williams, Orlando Bloom, Bradley Cooper to name a few) would also be in attendance. As one of London’s most-buzzed about social event of the year, A-listers were dressed in head-to-toe British brands (surprise, surprise). Burberry’s campaign star Suki Waterhouse donned a dusty pink dress from the designer house’s Fall 2014 collection, while Cara Delevingne repped Mulberry wearing a minimalist black dress with her namesake bag.

See the sneaker collaborations »
Thanks to the likes of Phoebe Philo, Isabel Marant and of course, Yeezy, sneakers have been on a fashion upswing for the past few years. No longer just functional, they’ve risen to the top of the heap with the stylish equivalent of bells and whistles: heels, studs, snakeskin and more. Fashion’s sneaker foray has also brought forth some seriously genius high-low collaborations, including Maison Martin Margiela x Converse, Riccardo Tisci x Nike and most recently Versace for Superga. And with the athletic trend showing little signs of backing down, it’s no wonder designers are kicking up their sneaker game for yet another season.
Here, we’ve rounded up 8 amazing sneaker collaborations that have us head over high-tops.

Met Gala 2014: The 54 best dressed on last night’s epic red carpet
See the complete Met Gala 2014 red carpet »
If reports about Anna Wintour wanting this year’s Met Gala to be more exclusive were true, they certainly did not apply to the A-list. Last night’s red carpet was stacked (and we mean stacked) with just about everyone from the recluse to rising star. Surely, it had something to do with the fact that last night was the inaugural Met Gala celebrating the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s renamed Anna Wintour Costume Center. Maybe too, it was just like the rest of us have been trained to understand: The Met Gala is not to be missed.
Honouring oft-forgotten American couturier Charles James, last night’s event was all about 1950s glamour. Its “white tie” guest-list prompted gents like Johnny Depp and Kanye West to wear tails, Zoe Saldana to wear a recreated Michael Kors bustle and both Taylor Swift and Sarah Jessica Parker to take to the stairs with over-the-top Oscar de la Renta trains. Unlike the sometimes cookie cutter Oscars, the Met Gala is a time to break out some real steez and red carpet queen Lupita Nyong’o did just that in a flapper-inspired feathered Prada dress. Perhaps more Poiret than James, the dress made for some serious chatter from both the “for” and “against” camps. Fellow red carpet queen (and queen of life, truly) Rihanna went anti-theme in a sexy stomach-baring Stella McCartney dress which killed, as usual.

The week in celebrity style: See who made our top 10 best dressed
See the week’s best celebrity style »
With so many parties, galas and movie screenings this past week, celebrities everywhere were dressed to the nines in spring attire, giving us plenty of fashion eye candy and outfit inspiration to last the weekend.
Earlier this week, the Time 100 Gala was held in New York City and celebrated the 100 most influential people—and some of the most stylish, we might add. Although Beyoncé was not in attendance (insert sad face emoji), red carpet beauties like Carrie Underwood and Christy Turlington stunned us with their sartorial choices. Also there to accept an honourable mention was Amy Adams, who did no wrong in the fashion department, wearing a sleeveless column dress with copper embroidery, which complemented her iconic red hair.

The weekend in celebrity style: See who made our top 10 best dressed
See the best celebrity style from this weekend »
From Shanghai’s grand opening of the new Burberry store to New York’s film festival-filled weekend, there was a lot of competition to make it on our best dressed list. The Tribeca Film Festival officially wrapped up and celebrities ended things with a bang in the fashion department. While stars like Nikki Reed, Elisabeth Moss and Eva Longoria opted to wear dark shades, Keira Knightley pulled out not one but two pastel couture dresses. (Right on trend, Keira!) Sporting the same corseted silhouette from the Chanel Fall 2014 show, Knightley walked the red carpet in a shimmering sequined dress and switched into a simpler standout baby-pink dress for the dinner hosted by the Paris fashion house.

Suki Waterhouse cements her It girl status as the face of Burberry’s new Brit Rhythm fragrance
There’s no denying Suki Waterhouse’s growing It girl status. The British actress and model (who also happens to be dating Bradley Cooper) has been tapped by Burberry as the face of the brand’s newest fragrance, Brit Rhythm. And based on the just-released campaign images, it’s clear that she was an excellent choice: Waterhouse’s bombshell domineer and edgy gaze complements the fragrance’s characteristics, described as “a blend of contradictions.”
The black and white digital campaign is set in a dark concert-hall venue and stars Waterhouse alongside British musician George Barnett of These New Puritans. The pair is caught in a sultry embrace right before walking off into a swarm of screaming fans and flashbulbs. (Because what’s more rock and roll than a steamy love fest before the show?)

But then there’s those other Brit girls. You know the ones. Those girls who have blown up in the U.K. but seem to prompt nothing but a “huh?” this side of the pond.
Enter our handy guide to British celebrities including rising models, chart-topping musicians and one American who adopted the swinging city as her own. Consider yourself confused no more.

Gwyneth Paltrow vs. Kate Moss: who was best dressed at British Fashion Awards 2013?
See the British Fashion Awards 2013 red carpet »
Last night, Britain’s most fashionably influential took over the London Coliseum for the British Fashion Awards 2013. A red carpet of elite wearing elite can only be expected at such an affair, but Kate Moss and Gwyneth Paltrow’s looks got our style radar beeping.
The ageless Moss, who was honoured with the Special Recognition award for 25 years in the industry, wore a Spring 2014 Alexander McQueen leather dress with a fur coat. The perforated effect and pleats added texture to the look that was accessorized with a studded clutch, red pout and black Louboutin heels.
Making an appearance to present the International Designer of the Year honour to Miuccia Prada, it’s no surprise that Paltrow chose from the designer’s collection. The dress, a plum and soft pink bodice with a black pleated skirt, was paired with strappy sandals that added to her signature long legs. Side-parted pin straight hair and a rosy lip made for her low-key beauty look.
