Resort 2015 is already making the rounds: The 10 best celebrity style looks so far
See the best Resort 2015 celebrity style »
Resort wear has always been geared towards the fashion elite, or at least to those who lead a luxurious life that entails travelling to somewhere warm and tropical during the unbearably cold winter months, especially when resort heavyweights include Chanel, Dior and Oscar de la Renta. However, with more and more contemporary designers adding the vacation-inspired collection to their repertoire, Resort collections are becoming a bigger part of the fashion industry, and are thus naturally more coveted by the masses. It also helps to have A-list stars rocking envious resort ensembles as of late. Note: Resort collections aren’t actually available in store until November/December, unless you’re one of these top 10 celebrities.

The week in celebrity style: See who made our top 10 best dressed
The Cannes Film Festival may be long over, but judging from this past week, celebs everywhere showed no signs of pulling any stops on stepping out in gold medal-worthy outfits. From the World Music Awards to world premieres, we round up the 10 best dressed looks from the week.
World Music Awards took place this past Tuesday drawing top musicians (and models!) to Monte Carlo. Amongst the A-listers was Miley Cyrus who surprised us all in two ensembles that was quite out of character. While her concerts usually calls for custom, barely-there bodysuits, our former cover girl switched it up and donned a gorgeous floral strapless gown for her live performance of “Wrecking Ball.” She later wore a bedazzling silver gown to not only accept the award for World’s Best Video, but also World’s Best Female Artist.

Met Gala 2014: The 10 best dressed couples on the red carpet
The best dressed Met Gala 2014 couples »
Last night’s Met Gala might as well have been called the “Battle of the Power Couples” with well-dressed duos walking the red carpet matching in designer-clad ensembles for this year’s Charles James: Beyond Fashion exhibition at The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
There was lots of talk over whether or not the Beckhams would make an appearance at this year’s Met Gala, but rumours were put to rest when the It Brit couple arrived on the red carpet in matching white ensembles. While David Beckham escorted his wife looking dapper in a white Ralph Lauren Black Label tuxedo jacket with black pants, Victoria Beckham was a vision in white wearing a strapless column dress of her design.
But if we were to dub the cutest power couple of the night, it would have to go to Beyoncé and Jay-Z hands down. According to sources, Queen Bey may have lost her ring for a short period of time while flaunting her envious curves in a Givenchy Couture dress at the sea of paparazzi. Luckily hubby, who was also in Givenchy, was there by her side to find it and put a ring on it while down on one knee (cue the awws).

Met Gala 2014: The 54 best dressed on last night’s epic red carpet
See the complete Met Gala 2014 red carpet »
If reports about Anna Wintour wanting this year’s Met Gala to be more exclusive were true, they certainly did not apply to the A-list. Last night’s red carpet was stacked (and we mean stacked) with just about everyone from the recluse to rising star. Surely, it had something to do with the fact that last night was the inaugural Met Gala celebrating the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s renamed Anna Wintour Costume Center. Maybe too, it was just like the rest of us have been trained to understand: The Met Gala is not to be missed.
Honouring oft-forgotten American couturier Charles James, last night’s event was all about 1950s glamour. Its “white tie” guest-list prompted gents like Johnny Depp and Kanye West to wear tails, Zoe Saldana to wear a recreated Michael Kors bustle and both Taylor Swift and Sarah Jessica Parker to take to the stairs with over-the-top Oscar de la Renta trains. Unlike the sometimes cookie cutter Oscars, the Met Gala is a time to break out some real steez and red carpet queen Lupita Nyong’o did just that in a flapper-inspired feathered Prada dress. Perhaps more Poiret than James, the dress made for some serious chatter from both the “for” and “against” camps. Fellow red carpet queen (and queen of life, truly) Rihanna went anti-theme in a sexy stomach-baring Stella McCartney dress which killed, as usual.

Short hairstyles: 10 of the best celebrity cropped cuts to inspire a new summer style
See the best celebrity short hairstyles for summer »
As many Hollywood A-listers have proven, right now short hair is having a major moment. From Jennifer Lawrence’s recent lob to the staying power of Michelle Williams’ pixie cut, long hair is being phased out of the red carpet spotlight. And now that summer is officially here, there’s no better time to embrace short hair. After all, there’s nothing quite like a good hairstyle makeover to really get us in the mood for our favourite season.
If you haven’t yet cut off a couple of inches, consider that anything above shoulder length is the best way to keep cool when things turn sweaty and humid. And lest you think that a short cut means you’ll no longer have the versatility to change up your style, this slideshow of the best short celebrity hairstyles proves otherwise. From the super short—like Anne Hathaway and Charlize Theron—to Karlie Kloss’s infamous cropped bob and Miley Cyrus’s constantly changing shaved style, we’ve rounded up 10 celebs who not only make short hair look really, really good—they know how to style it for red carpet-worthy events. Click through and don’t blame us if you’re booking a hair cut before you get to the end.

Oscars 2013 Beauty: JLaws, Jessica, Charlize and more! The top 4 trends in hair at the Academy Awards
See the top hair trends from the Oscars 2013 red carpet »
From side-parted curls to cropped cuts, hair at the 2013 Oscars played it safe—but with maximum results. Dare we say there was not a single bad hairstyle at last night’s award show? Three leading ladies—Jennifer Lawrence, Naomi Watts and Amanda Seyfriend—wore their blonde hair in similar styles on the Oscars red carpet: pulled into a low chignon with volume at the crown. This romantic look was more about loose texture than showing a sleek style, and considering that all three women have a bit of a natural wave to their hair it was a smart move by their hairstylists. When it comes to marathon events like the Academy Awards (which, from prep to afterparty can last for more than 15 hours) it’s always wise to choose a style that works with your natural hair texture—there’s simply too much time for anything else to fall flat or frizz out.

Oscars 2013: 20 of the red carpet’s best dressed at this year’s Academy Awards
See the best dressed on the Oscars 2013 red carpet »
The yearlong reign of Angelina’s Right Leg has officially come to an end. Oscars 2013’s fresh crop of red carpet wows is sure to erase that blunder from our minds, at least for a few days.
Last night’s red carpet was awash with the spectrum’s palest shades. From the serene to the layer cake-like, white and pale pink took top A-list honours. And starting at the very top, Academy Award winner for best actress, Jennifer Lawrence, did Christian Dior proud in her latest look from the house. Plucked from the house’s Spring 2013 couture collection, the frothy pale pink dress was a much more feminine look than we’re used to for Lawrence, but beautiful just the same. As for that pre-acceptance speech slip up the stairs? We’ll just file that, along with this list of her epic Oscars facial expressions, away with all the ways she’s endeared us to her. Another in the pink corner, was supporting actress award winner Anne Hathaway, who stunned in a sleek petal pink Prada dress. And where the extreme side-boob pleats made for some easy jokes by many, we are head-over-heels for the look, especially its open back detailing which Hathaway paired with Tiffany & Co. jewels worn backwards.
Charlize Theron made the strongest case for white, wearing one of the night’s best dresses, another Christian Dior Haute Couture, featuring a deep V-neck strapless cut and a slight peplum waist. Babe, to say the least. Also sporting pale shades, were Zoe Saldana, Kristen Stewart and Amanda Seyfried, in varying shades of grey and cream, and Oscars 2013 nominee Jessica Chastain, who did her best Jessica Rabbit in a stunning light copper and white custom Giorgio Armani dress.
And speaking of Armani! While the rest of red carpet season seemed to be deadset on introducing the world to younger talents like Erdem, Marios Schwab, Simone Rocha and Alexander Vaulthier, Giorgio Armani made a big statement last night, with Chastain, Naomi Watts and Quvenzhané Wallis helping to reclaim its red carpet domination.
So, who came out on-top? Vote in our Oscars 2013 red carpet poll!

Vicky B. to the Oscars? Charlize, Gwyneth, and Cameron are all reportedly after the designer for Hollywood’s biggest night
If having an Oscar red carpet moment is any indication of a designer (and a celebrity designer at that) making it, then Victoria Beckham has definitely made it. The perennially best-dressed Charlize Theron, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Cameron Diaz are reportedly seeking the designer’s flattering, fitted wears for Hollywood’s biggest night.
A secret source told the Daily Mirror that, “Although it’s a great place to be in, Victoria’s been working day and night to keep up with demand.” So, what will the A-list be wearing? Check out our best guesses!

Meryl! Rooney! Michelle! We dress our favourite Oscar nominees in the best dresses from the Pre-Fall and Couture collections
It’s that time again! Oscar has spoken, and the nominations are in. Although we would’ve liked to see Tilda Swinton, Elizabeth Olsen, Kirsten Dunst, Shailene Woodley, and Charlize Theron be part of the Best Actress hoopla, it’s probably on Meryl lock anyway. We combed the Pre-Fall collections (with one couture exception) and plucked the gowns we think Oscar’s Best Actress nominees should consider for February 26. Let the countdown begin!

Michelle Williams vs. Charlize Theron: It’s a headband battle on the Golden Globes red carpet!
So how about those headbands? Michelle Williams, her BFF Busy Philipps, and Charlize Theron were all wearing them last night, making the Golden Globes almost as headwear-focused as an episode of Gossip Girl. While we don’t deny that they’re cute—the perfect accessory for rescuing a bad hair day or adding a punch of quirky style—headbands still seem slightly out of place at top-caliber award shows. Theron looks a little too prom with her sparkly band, and Williams takes away from the impact of her full-length gown with such a playful piece in her hair. But what do you think? Tell us who looks best in a headband by voting below, and let us know in the comments if it’s a red carpet look you’re down with!
