They said/We said: Wax off… fur on? The $225 hot pink “Foxy Bikini” wax
The latest trend to compete for the attention of your ladybits is the somewhat horrifying but entirely amusing “Foxy Bikini,” available at New York’s Completely Bare salon. And it should come as no shock that Real Housewives of New York-alumna Cindy Barshop, the creative genius who brought us last year’s vajazzling “trend,” is behind this furry invention.
For an easy $225, Barshop’s staff will wax you fur-less and then re-fur you with a hot pink vintage (uh?) fox-fur merkin. Despite the obvious obstacles, such as putting on pants and taking a shower, Barshop told Fashionista, “I’ve been in the business for so long that I think it’s going to be big for everybody.” Questionable.

Our favourite nuggets from last night’s Kanye West Twitterthon
Last night (read: 4 a.m. his time) Kanye West took to took to his preferred forum to rant, muse, and philosophize, Twitter! Never one to mince words, West produced a series of over 70 tweets about everything from his time as an undercover Fendi designer to his thoughts on the VAT tax. His tweets culminated with the announcement of his plan to create an all-encompassing think tank, DONDA. (Yeah, you’ll be hearing that word every five seconds for the rest of your life.)

Vancouver shop notes: It’s for luck
A rabbit-fur tassel might not radiate the same luck as a rabbit’s foot, but it can’t hurt your chances of a fortuitous 2012. In either slinky gunmetal or playful Day-Glo green, these bracelets by Vancouver Island–based Erika Lauren Design (erikalaurendesign.com) add instant charm to a New Year’s Eve getup. Made with found materials, they leave a light eco-footprint too. At Dream ($45 each, 311 W. Cordova St., 604-683-7326).

TFW diary: Fur’s homegrown moment at IZMA
On the international fashion scene, fur is having a major moment. From New York to Paris, it seemed as though the runways were rife with the fuzzy stuff. Serendipitous then, for Izzy Camilleri and Adrian Mainella of IZMA for whom fur is forte. And these are definitely not grandma’s fur coats. For fall, entirely modern bits like thick bands of gold studs, copper foil linings and micro mini hems, were mashed up with seriously ‘70s undertones such as evergreen furs, jumpsuits the colour of roasted squash and sheer burgundy velvet burnout.
There were highs—the colour blocked fur coats—and lows—an unflattering tuxedo onesie with voluminous pant, and unfortunate metallic sequined leggings. Should you happen to be invited to a black tie gala in an ice palace, the finale look would have you covered in a floor length fur gown complete with train and jeweled straps. Let the fur fly!
