Golden Globes 2013: 23 of the red carpet’s biggest, baddest and most beautiful dresses
See our photos from the Golden Globes 2013 red carpet »
Last night’s 70th annual Golden Globe Awards was a pretty epic lesson in red carpet trends. From the bright colours to the mermaid tails to the boob shows, the A-list all seemed to have consulted with each other’s stylists before arriving at the event. Red rose to the top of the colour charts, making bright appearances on Golden Globe winner Jennifer Lawrence in Dior Haute Couture, Zooey Deschanel in Oscar de la Renta and Claire Danes in Versace. Richer shades were worn by Naomi Watts in Zac Posen, Taylor Swift in Donna Karan Atelier and Lena Dunham in Zac Posen (the verdict’s still out on Dunham’s dress, though we really don’t like to speak negatively about such a precious human).
Pastels also seemed a strong message on the red carpet, with every hue in the candy coated rainbow being tested against the natural beauty of the night’s various stars. Jessica Alba‘s signature bronzed glow was offset by her creamsicle orange Oscar de la Renta trumpet gown. Meanwhile, Golden Globe winner Jessica Chastain chose the most ideal aquamarine on the colour wheel for her Calvin Klein gown. Bravo!
On the flip side, stark black and white (and even a combo of both with Julianne Moore’s graphic black and white Tom Ford column dress) predictably showed up en masse on stars like Anne Hathaway in beaded white Chanel, Amanda Seyfried in stunning white Givenchy and Kate Hudson and Nicole Kidman, who were both clear standouts in statement-making black Alexander McQueen dresses.
And the mermaid tails, oh those mermaid tails. Thought they were retired? Think again. The ole pyramid hem is proving to be on a clear comeback, as worn by Amy Adams, Jennifer Lopez, Taylor Swift and Jessica Alba.
As for the aforementioned boob-show, one flip through out Golden Globe red carpet gallery would show quite the bountiful selection. And really, is there much wrong with that?

It’s nearing the end of the year, and with that comes the ultimate end of year party, New Year’s Eve. Choosing what to wear on this occasion—or for any holiday parties–can be tricky, but there were many strong trends that stood out on the Fall 2012 runways that can help you stylishly ring in 2013.
Deep, rich burgundy clothes were seen on the runways of the likes of Peter Som for Fall 2012, but if you want to opt for something other than red around Christmas, then go for crisp, clean white clothing and accessories. Popular on runways such as Prabal Gurung’s, pair a white piece of clothing with a pop of emerald green and some gold jewellery and you’ll be looking festive and on-trend in no time.

Romeo Beckham stars in Burberry’s Spring 2013 campaign (plus: take a look back at the brand’s incredible video retrospective)
Photography by Mario Testino for Burberry Prorsum As if it didn’t already, Burberry Prorsum has really been capturing our attention as of late. It started with a three-minute video that compiled the best moments of the British house’s year in 2012 and today, the Spring 2013 campaign has been released and Romeo Beckham (yes, the son of Victoria and David) stars in it alongside major British models like Cara Delevingne.
Romeo Beckham (we’ll call him Lil’ Romeo #2) has barely been on the earth for a decade and his first foray into modeling was captured by none other than Mario Testino—not a shabby start to what we assume will be a lengthy career. We’re hoping some behind the scenes footage from the Spring 2013 campaign shoot pops up in the year in review video that we hope will be released this time next year.

Top 10 Fashion Trends, Spring 2013: We distill over a month of runway and street style photos into 100 of the season’s strongest moments
See the biggest Spring 2013 fashion trends »
See all of our fashion month coverage »It’s official, Spring 2013 fashion month is over. And after receiving a daily dose of street style photos and runway updates, it would be silly for us to ignore the trends that we saw day after day (after day, after day). It’s hard not to fall victim to sensory overload, but thankfully our street style photographer, Stefania Yarhi, made it easy for us to pick and choose which trends we know we’ll be seeing all spring long. With hundreds of photos from Paris, Milan, London, New York, and Toronto at our disposal, we just couldn’t ignore the countless graphic tops (a day without a Balenciaga sci-fi sweater sighting was a total shocker), exposed bellies, suits, and mixed prints—so we didn’t because we’re positive they will be huge come Spring 2013. We’ve selected 10 of the biggest fashion trends from the streets and the runways and put them together in one place, so gets to clickin’. The leaves may just be starting to fall, but it’s never too early to plan for spring, right? (RIGHT!)

London Fashion Week Spring 2013: 5 trends already staking their claim on next season

While the international collections are only half way through there is no doubt that some Spring 2013 trends have been set. London Fashion Week elaborated on some of the trends that we first spotted in New York making spring style seem clearer than ever. Spring 2013 promises bold fashion ready for risk takers. Those who thought the crop top was a phase seem to have been proven wrong. Look for bare bellies and plenty of skin throughout the collections—start those crunches now.
Skin is definitely in, as leather frequents the catwalks for Spring 2013. At Mulberry, leather-on-leather takes the typically non-summer fabric for a ride dropping it right in the middle of its sugary sweet sixties-inspired collection. Meanwhile, defined digital prints continue to develop for Spring 2013 in the hands of their mistress, Mary Katrantzou: vivid images take us on a trip with international banknotes and postage stamps.

Adele for Burberry? Rumour has it that the Brit singer will create a plus-sized capsule collection for the brand
Photography by Christopher Polk/Getty Images British Vogue is reporting that singer Adele has been in talks with Burberry‘s creative director Christopher Bailey to collaborate on a line of plus-size clothing for the historic British brand. Although neither side has chosen to comment on the rumors, the songstress has apparently been asked to work on a “bespoke range for voluptuous customers.”

Forget about K.Stew, here’s all the info and images we could scrounge up from Liberty Ross’s amazing fashion career!
Photography by Peter Stigter A guide to Liberty Ross’s fashion moments »
While our reaction may not have been quite on par with Nutty Madam’s (please do yourself a favor and watch her “HOW COULD YOU DO THIS KRISTEN?!” video), we were definitely all taken by surprise when revelations of Kristen Stewart’s affair with Rupert Sanders, her much older, married-with-two-kids Snow White and the Huntsman director, came to light on Tuesday.
While we’re obviously feeling for poor, beautiful Robert Pattinson during this tumultuous time, it’s Sanders’ wife Liberty Ross who has emerged as the most sympathetic and interesting figure out of the entire debacle. Aside from a bit of cryptic social media usage, the polished Ross has remained completely mum about the whole affair so far, which of course means we’ve had to go digging on her.
