Kate Middleton channels her inner Audrey Hepburn in a pretty Temperley London dress

Photography by Samir Hussein/WireImage See more Kate Middleton style in our complete lookbook »
We may never forgive Kate Middleton for passing up the chance to party with Taylor Swift, but this new Temperley London dress is helping to make up for it. Last night Kate attended SportsBall, a gala event for SportsAid—which is one of her official patronages that is dedicated to supporting young British athletes and Olympic hopefuls. (It’s also the charity that caused that infamous post-pregnancy volleyball photo op.)
As for her outfit, Kate’s black Temperley London dress is from the label’s Fall 2012 collection and featured laser-cut detailing inspired by Renaissance stained glass. The nipped-in waist and full skirt gave it a very feminine feel—and it’s no surprise that various descriptions of the dress have included a nod to Audrey Hepburn.

Kate Middleton keeps it simple in navy Max Mara and Orla Kiely while visiting one of her official charities

Photography by Chris Jackson/Getty Images Clearly we’re not the only ones feeling super busy this time of year. Kate Middleton was out and about for the second time in as many days, attending a forum meeting at Place2Be, an organization that works to support the emotional wellbeing of children. It’s one of the Kate’s official patronages and based on her extended visit today (the Duchess reportedly stayed for an extra hour to learn about addiction and self-harm) it’s obvious that this charity is important to her.
For today’s engagement, Kate wore a few pieces that are new to the public eye. Her entire outfit was a rich shade of navy blue, right down to her sheer tights and Cornelia James bow gloves. Up top, Kate wore a jacket by Max Mara which featured a smart side zipper and fit her perfectly.

Top Spring 2014 Trends: 200 fashion week photos
See the biggest Spring 2014 fashion trends »
See all our fashion month coverage »With the end of fashion week in Toronto marking the close of Spring 2014 show season, it’s time we looked back at all the trends that emerged. As much as the runway sets the pace for what’s to come for the top Spring 2014 trends, the streets play a major role as show-going trendsetters give us the relatable breakdown of how to wear what’s hot next season. Prints take two spots on our top Spring 2014 trends list through those with a painterly quality and those influenced by international cultures. At Hérmes, Rousseau-inspired water lily florals were printed on luxurious fabrics while at Diane Von Furstenberg, dresses and skirts depicting an African wilderness roared. As for fashionable time travel, prepare to keep reminiscing about the youthful 1990s, which haven’t ceased to get reincarnated season after season. Designers like Rodarte, Balmain and Jason Wu have reinvented the decade’s essentials yet again. To help with your daydreaming of long sunny spring days we’ve compiled the ultimate gallery of top Spring 2014 trends as dictated by the runways and our favourite street style stars in New York, London, Milan, Paris and Toronto! Feel free to let this be your guide to budgeting and creating closet space for next season’s must have pieces.

Kate Middelton matches Prince George’s christening gown with off-white Alexander McQueen

Photography by John Stillwell-WPA Pool /Getty Images Who wore off-white best: a pudgy-cute baby in a dress or the always-stunning Kate Middleton? Okay, it’s not a fair comparison, but with Prince George on the scene, attention is certainly divided. The three month old heir to the throne was christened this morning at an intimate royal affair—just 22 guests are reported to have been in attendance, including the Middleton family, Prince Harry and, of course, the Queen. (Sorry, Cressida Bonas, maybe next time!)
While Prince George’s christening outfit was decided centuries ago (he’s in a replica of the royal christening robe, the original of which is 172 years old) Kate’s christening dress is completely new. It’s a bespoke Alexander McQueen piece, which bares a striking resemblance to the ruffled Reiss dress she wore for her official engagement photos in 2010. Kate kept her hair straight with one side pinned up, the perfect style to match her cream-coloured hat by Jane Taylor and show off her Kiki McDonough citrine earrings.

Jennifer Aniston loves the mini dress! But which look do you like best?

The mini dress was definitely the outfit of choice for many celebrities this summer. While young stars like Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez showed their love for the shorter length, Jennifer Aniston proved that with a toned physique, you can pull this look off at any age. While promoting her new film We’re the Millers, Aniston wore a mini dress not once, but twice—and rocked it both times.
While the London premiere was dreary with the rainfall, the Friends star got heads turning when she arrived on the red carpet. Opting for an outfit in tune with summer, Aniston wore a mini blue floral-print dress by Christian Dior from the Resort 2013 collection, complete with a contrasting white floral underskirt. While she accessorized with a pair of black-heeled sandals by Casadei, we couldn’t keep our eyes off of her incredible engagement ring. Known for her effortless beauty and style, Aniston topped off her look with her famous tousled waves, rosy cheeks and a touch of red for her lips.

Kate Middleton wears pink Alexander McQueen for her last appearance before going on maternity leave

Is this the last time we’ll see the Duchess of Cambridge before the royal baby is born? While last week’s cruise ship christening was Kate Middleton’s final solo appearance, Saturday’s Trooping the Colour parade is said to be her last royal engagement before going on maternity leave.
The parade, which is the official celebration of the Queen’s birthday, brought together many members of the royal family for an elaborate display of the royal guards. Prince William rode in on a horse, while Kate was seated in a carriage with Prince Harry and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall.

Kate Middleton christens a cruise ship in a Dalmatian print Hobbs coat

Photography by AFP/Getty Images Kate Middleton’s last solo engagement pre-maternity leave was certainly a big one! This morning the Duchess of Cambridge smashed a magnum of Moët & Chandon Champagne against the hull of the Royal Princess cruise ship, officially naming the ship and becoming her godmother in one fell swoop. While this appointment is certainly more of a commercial venture than the charitable organizations we’re used to seeing Kate involved with, there’s a bit of royal history behind it. The first Royal Princess cruise ship set sale from Southampton in 1984 and Princess Diana christened the ship as godmother, doing the same Champagne smash and speech.
So what do you wear when you’re becoming godmother of a cruise ship? Kate Middleton stepped out of her sartorial comfort zone today in a Dalmatian print coat from Hobbs. Has any other royal worn such a bold animal print before?

Kate Middleton wears pale-pink Jenny Packham at the Queen’s coronation celebration

Photography by Samir Hussein/WireImage See our complete Kate Middleton style photo gallery »
Celebrations for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee came full circle today with a ceremony at Westminster Abbey to mark the 60th anniversary of the Queen’s coronation. It was the first time that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge returned to the Abbey since their wedding and, given the significance of today’s ceremony, the entire royal family was in attendance. We’re not going to lie: we were really hoping to see the royals dressed in traditional ermine robes and elaborate jewellery. (That Diamond Diadem crown deserves to be worn!) However, given that it’s 2013 and not 1953, the wardrobe choices were much more modern.
At the top of the best dressed list was, of course, the Duchess of Cambridge, who wore a pale-pink bespoke Jenny Packham coat and dress. Today’s appearance may just be the first time that Kate Middleton’s baby bump has been totally visible from front-on—though the empire waistline certainly helped to emphasize it.
