Check out more photos from New York Fashion Week!»
From the city that never sleeps, it also seems that the fashion crowd never sleeps during fashion week, as photographer Stefania Yarhi has caught even more stylish ladies (and a few men!) outside the shows at New York Fashion Week Spring 2013.
The excitement was in the air as Hollywood’s elite sat in the coveted front row of Rodarte’s Spring 2013 show on Tuesday. Plunked beside Rachel Zoe and Anna Wintour in the front row was Kirsten Dunst (fresh from her visit to Toronto for TIFF to promote her upcoming film On the Road), who Yahri captured leaving the show wearing an on-trend cream and brown striped dress with lace and ruffles from Rodarte’s Fall 2012 collection.

New York Fashion Week Spring 2013: Why J.Crew can do no wrong, plus our top 5 picks from yesterday’s shows
It was a whirlwind day of running between shows and showrooms, but I’ve managed to suss out five of the best offerings of the day, beginning with the most unexpected one from Oscar de la Renta. From a man known for glamorous gowns and ladylike day-wear, it was a surprise to see Karlie Kloss open the show in a latex top and skin-tight pencil skirt. Clearly courting a younger contingent, uncharacteristically punky coloured streaks were added to wispy beehives and billowy shorts suits were on offer for evening. Is Oscar abandoning his core clientele? I seriously doubt it, but it’s always refreshing to see a designer throw us a curveball and stretch his style beyond the expected.

Quotable: Wonder what a Victorian beach-inspired manicure would look like? Zooey Deschanel explains her quirky nail art
Though her scarlet Oscar de la Renta dress was already a showstopper on its own, Zooey Deschanel’s lemon yellow 3-D nail art was perhaps the most eye-catching element of her whole look for the Critics’ Choice Television Awards. The New Girl star, who’s fond of wearing clever manicures on the red carpet, spoke with BellaSugar about the unlikely inspiration for her citron and silver nails.

Exclusive: We get some time with Orlando Pita, one of the industry’s biggest hairstylists
He’s one of the most influential hairstylists working today, but Orlando Pita would rather not be in the spotlight. Lesa Hannah manages to pin him down.
If you’re a beauty editor backstage at a fashion show and you want to interview Orlando Pita about the hair, you soon learn the following: If there isn’t a publicist to facilitate a chat, you’ll have to take matters into your own hands and approach him. Once you have him, be quick and to the point. Do not film him without his approval; if you raise your Flip camera unannounced during the interview, he will stop talking. Finally, for the love of God, do not ask how the real woman can recreate the look at home; his frustration with the question will be immediately apparent.
