TIFF 2012: Ewan McGregor, Petra Nemcova, Dustin Hoffman and Gael Garcia Bernal were just a few of the many stars at Grey Goose Soho House last night
Photography by Alexandra Wyman/Getty Images For Grey Goose See all the Grey Goose Soho House TIFF party pics! »
Sunday night continued to prove that no matter what TIFF happenings are going on, it all comes back to the Grey Goose Soho House. At the onset of the evening, cast from both The Sessions and Byzantium stopped by before hitting the red carpet. Irish ingenue Saoirse Ronan and Gemma Arterton had dinner prior to the world premiere of their dark vampire flick Byzantium, while Helen Hunt, William H. Macy, John Hawkes and The Sessions director Ben Lewin mingled with friends.
A private party was held on the third floor for At Any Price, with Dennis Quaid, Clancy Brown and Maika Monroe in attendance. Considering that Maika Monroe’s The Bling Ring cast-mate Emma Watson was at Soho House the night before we had hoped for a repeat appearance, but alas, no luck. (Perhaps Emma Watson was off somewhere else, catching up with Daniel Radcliffe who’s also currently in Toronto filming The F Word? We can only dream!)

Will Kristen Stewart be channeling her Balenciaga look at tonight’s TIFF premiere of On The Road?
We’ll take this as a very good sign: the day that Kristen Stewart lands in Toronto for TIFF a new Balenciaga Florabotanica ad makes its debut. The ad, which is comprised almost entirely of her face, has a very different mood from the first campaign image.

The Weekend To-Do: Oysterfest in Montreal, where to shop in Toronto and spend Labour Day laughing with For A Good Time, Call
As Labour Day is a celebration in honour of those who fought to work less than 12 hours a day, it’s only fitting to indulge in a little R&R this weekend. Whether it’s restorative or preventative rest you’re after—what with a new school year, TIFF and Fashion’s Night Out on the horizon—there’s plenty to choose from, should you decide to leave your Adirondack chair.

Chanel has created three new shades of nail polish and lipstick for Fashion’s Night Out
Photography courtesy of Chanel It’s always exciting whenever Peter Phillips, Chanel’s creative director of makeup, whips up a new covetable colour, but when a product launch comes in twos, anticipation also doubles. Add in the fact Chanel’s forthcoming Les Twin-Sets collection is a special edition for Fashion’s Night Out and it’s downright collector-worthy.

Feast your eyes on 32 covetable pieces from Biko’s fall collection
August 29th marks the release date for Biko’s FW2012 collection, but we’ve got the scoop and the snaps on the Toronto label’s latest offering, Lasso the Moon. The 50-piece collection draws on rare and unique vintage curiosities and findings, delivering a whimsical collection that features arrowheads, pyramids and chainmail made of oxidized brass, shiny gunmetal and pyrite silvers. We’re particularly fond of designer Corrine Anestopoulos’ luxurious take on the friendship bracelet—hers are woven with silk chiffon—and we love the mix of materials, which gives the jewelry a Pocahontas meets Joan of Arc super heroine vibe.

The rain didn’t stop this white night! 24 pictures from Toronto’s first Diner en Blanc event
Photography by Stefania Yarhi Last night more than one thousand white-clad Torontonians flooded Fort York with food and umbrellas in hand for the city’s inaugural Diner en Blanc. The historic location for the pop-up picnic had been kept secret from attendees—many of them kept in the dark until they arrived on shuttle busses chartered for the event. Guests, who brought their own food, tables and cutlery, enjoyed live music and the company of strangers as they picnicked under the drizzling rain. We can’t imagine that food, rain and white clothing are the perfect pairing, but guests were unperturbed by the weather and definitely dined in style.
