Glitter, gloss, wings, 6-inch heels, plenty of pink, big, sexy hair and legs that go on for days—the Victoria’s Secret Angels know how to give good glam. Hours before the annual Victoria’s Secret fashion show began, we headed backstage amidst clouds of hairspray, racks of Swarovski-encrusted pink satin Victoria’s Secret robes and throngs of editors/bloggers/photographers to get the inside scoop from the heavenly ones (The jitters! The diets! The costumes!). Pre-show, Twitter was a-buzz with news of Karlie Kloss’s new ‘do but post-show it was all about her controversial Native American-inspired costume, which subsequently will be pulled from the televised show on December 4th. From Justin Bieber to Bruno Mars to mega-babe Rihanna, the musical performances didn’t disappoint, nor did the star-studded front row which included Alexander Wang, 30 Rock’s Katrina Bowden, Debbie Harry, members of Kings of Leon , Gossip Girl’s Jessica Szohr and Vanessa Hudgens and her boyfriend Austin Butler. Alber Elbaz celebrated his 10th anniversary at Lanvin with a collection for Fall 2012 that featured bold colour, feminine silhouettes and loads of embellishment. The Lanvin beauty team—which included hairstylist Guido Palau and makeup artist Pat McGrath—accented the look with thickly lined eyes and soft hair. The result was a strong yet simple look: complexions were clean and glowing, the hair had a subtle bend and mouths were lightly dabbed with lip balm. Pat McGrath made this beauty statement all about the eyes. Inspired by the idea of a pen and ink illustration, she drew an exaggerated black wing that covered the lid and extended out. As if the prospect of watching supermodels like Adriana Lima, Miranda Kerr and Alessandra Ambrosio model high-fashion lingerie wasn’t enough to get us to tune in to the Victoria’s Secret fashion show, it was just announced that Rihanna is going to be involved.

Today the singer revealed the news on her Facebook page that she will be performing at the annual event, which will be televised on December 4. The spectacle has seen past performances from the likes of Justin Timberlake and the Spice Girls, as well as Rihanna’s friends Kanye West and Jay-Z. Rihanna—who has been quite busy lately, from closing the Paralympics to working on her seventh (!!) album—will sing two songs at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, including her new single “Diamonds.” She will also be joined by two other acts, one of which is some guy named Justin Bieber. No big deal.

With bright hazel eyes and possibly the best eyebrows since Brooke Shields, it’s pretty much impossible for Lily Collins to not look stunning. While in Toronto this month for the TIFF premiere of Writers she walked the red carpet in an extremely elaborate Balmain dress—but it was her the simplicity of her glowing skin and dramatic lashes that held the look together. “I told Lily that I think this [red carpet] was a dress moment more than a hair and makeup moment [but we] still wanted to make her skin and her eyelashes a star,” explained celebrity makeup artist Beau Nelson. Victoria’s Secret model Miranda Kerr has less time in her beauty schedule since having her son Flynn, so she’s gotten resourceful. The model curls her lashes by applying a coat of mascara and pinching them between her thumb and a spoon (yes, a spoon!). As for her luminous skin?
