A complete wardrobe recap from last night’s gilded supermodel invasion of the London Olympics closing ceremony

Photography by Saeed Khan/AFP/GettyImages Among the many highlights of last night’s Olympic Closing Ceremonies, one of our favourites was definitely the supermodel en masse march, a fashion moment that completely cemented London’s role as one of the industry’s capitals. Some of fashion’s most recognized faces, including Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell (the definite stars of the show) along with Lily Cole, Stella Tennant, Lily Donaldson, Georgia May Jagger, Karen Elson, Jourdan Dunn and David Gandy, were all clad in seven of Britain’s most revered designers.

Kate’s on Vanity Fair’s International Best-Dressed List (of course!) as well as the cover of their September issue
This time there’s no photoshoppery required: Kate Middleton is one of Vanity Fair‘s September covers, but the magazine chose to use an actual photo of the duchess instead of pulling a Marie Claire South Africa. (The picture in question is from last year’s visit to Los Angeles, when Will and Kate attended the BAFTA Awards.)

Alexander McQueen and Kenzo duke it out in the battle of who’s video will get you high first
Apparently both Alexander McQueen’s and Kenzo’s creative teams have blowing our minds on their agendas today. In their latest videos, McQueen’s for fall and Kenzo’s for pre-fall, the brands’ latest collections are presented in equally frenetic videos.
McQueen’s, directed by David Sims, stars Suvi Koponen (who is also the print campaign’s star) as some sort of intergalactic being traveling through the net/space/a video game/your solarized subconscious as she takes her visor sunglasses on and off.

See everything Kate’s worn since her engagement »Feel free to make fun of us, kids. Our Olympics excitement coupled with our usual Kate Middleton freak-outs are going to be particularly out of control for the next three weeks. Alongside Prince William and Prince Harry, Kate’s going to be making a reported 30 Olympic-related appearances over the next few weeks as an Olympic Ambassador, and we’ve got them all tattooed on our foreheads.
Since we’re sure that Kate will wear nothing but Brit wears all Olympics-long, here are some wardrobe predictions for her upcoming appearances.

As if! Kate’s wedding dress (a.k.a. the dress that changed our lives) is deemed “irrelevant” by Wikipedia

Photography by Pascal Le Segretain/Getty Images The very thought of debating whether or not Kate Middleton’s wedding dress was important seems ridiculous, but that’s exactly what happened when Wikipedia published an article entitled “Wedding Dress of Kate Middleton” the day of the royal wedding. It was immediately flagged for deletion, and Wikipedia contributors soon got in an uproar on the article’s “talk” page. They called the article trivial and irrelevant, one even going so far as to say:
“The sheer presence of this article is one of the lowest points ever reached by Wikipedia! What amazes me is that there’s acculturatede [sic] people (since the article was well written) who has such interests, and free time to lose to devoted themselves for such totally irrelevant arguments.”

Kate Middleton hits Wimbledon in one of our favourite recycled Alexander McQueen dresses!

Photography by Leon Neal/AFP/GettyImages View this look in our Kate Middleton slideshow! »
After a few courtside Pippa spottings, Kate and Wills finally made their appearance at Wimbledon today, and in what can’t be much of a shock, Kate’s wearing another recycled dress. The off-white navy-piped cable-knit sweater dress by Alexander McQueen is one of our favourites from her visit to Canada last year, and it looks just as apropos for today’s engagement as it did last year in quite a different one. When worn during her time in P.E.I. last year, this number felt oh so Anne of Green Gables, but doesn’t it just suit the tennis court perfectly as well? All she needs is a wooden racket and a sweatband and she’s an Ivy Leaguer.
