The week in celebrity style: See who made our top 10 best dressed
With many celebrities dressed to the nines in metallic numbers on the red carpet, this week A-list stars needed no assistance from photographers’ flashing bulbs to shine. Bringing you oodles of wardrobe inspiration for those who have invitations to glam events this upcoming weekend, we round up our top 10 best-dressed celebs from this past week.
Net-A-Porter hosted an intimate dinner reception earlier this week in honour of Victoria Beckham to celebrate the launch of the Victoria, Victoria Beckham Fall 2014 collection and collab with contemporary art photographer Todd Hido. Hosted in New York City, some of fashion’s elite came to show their support for the designer, who looked ah-mazing in a form-fitting black dress from her Spring 2013 collection, including socialite Olivia Palermo, model and street style star Hanne Gaby Odiele, Tabitha Simmons and Garance Doré.

Street Style, New York: We spot Jenna Lyons, Miroslava Duma, Olivia Palermo and more outside the Fall 2014 shows
Photography by Stefania Yarhi While many of us spent the weekend huddled inside watching the Sochi action, New York Fashion Week kept editors, bloggers and fashion lovers out and about in the cold for the Fall 2014 shows. With all the commuting between venues—from Manhattan to Brooklyn and back again—cozy outerwear and slush-proof footwear was essential.
Fur continues to be a huge trend outside the tents, with everything from bright-blue faux to ’70s shearling to a mod Isabel Marant racoon coat being snapped by our street style photographer, Stefania Yarhi. Eva Chen kept things light and youthful in a super fluffy snowman-esque coat and rainbow-metallic kicks, while Jenna Lyons effortlessly worked the quirky mismatched-yet-tailored style she pioneered.

Street Style, Paris: 22 photos of Olivia Palermo, Man Repeller, Caroline Issa and more outside Spring 2013 fashion week

Monochromatic outfits were once again the trend on day two of Paris Fashion Week. There’s nothing like a bold statement colour to stand out from the rest of the stylish crowd (and get captured by our photographer Guilhem Malissen, of course).
Pulling off the tone-on-tone ensemble is no easy task, but showgoers prove to us exactly why they are fashion week’s street style stars. Stephanie LaCava mesmerized us in an off-the-shoulder emerald green dress, while another stopped us in our tracks in a head to toe bright red ensemble. But really bringing single hue outfits to a whole new level are street stylers who mixed different prints and textures (like a leopard print jacket and patent leather skirt or a striped cropped jacket and polka dot shirt) to make monochromatic ensembles that much more chic.

Olivia Palermo versus Blake Lively: Who wore monochromatic leather best in the front row?

When it’s Fashion Month, there’s no time to waste! The last day of London Fashion Week has quickly turned into the first day of the Spring 2014 shows in Milan. As such, we’re sharing stand-out a front row look from each city: IRL socialite Olivia Palermo and our favourite faux Upper East Side girl Blake Lively both channeled a glossy, monochromatic leather look when attending shows in London and Milan.
From London, Olivia Palermo was perfectly poised at the Anya Hindmarch show in a soft, dusty-rose ensemble. She wore a light white sweater, dusty-rose leather pants and a tonal matched blazer. Choosing the casual route, Palermo completed her on-trend pink look with a pair of animal-print flats and a grey Anya Hindmarch handbag that featured a statement-making yellow lining. A neutral pink lip, slight cat-eye and emphasized lashes went well with her ladylike-hued outfit.
Over in Milan, the Gucci show kicked off fashion week and Blake Lively added some A-list power to the front row. The actress was a vision in a marigold Gucci leather dress and matching belt. The leather halter dress was left to shine when paired with Gucci bronze heels and a neutral clutch. As for her makeup, Lively went for a sophisticated red lip while her honey-blonde hair was side parted and left loose, somewhat of a signature style for the Gossip Girl star.
While we envy Lively, who shared a few front row laughs with Anna Wintour, and give props to Palermo for finishing off London Fashion Week in stylish form we still have to ask, who had the best leather look?

Street Style, New York: 51 star-studded photos of Nicki Minaj, Julianne Moore and more outside Spring 2014 fashion week
Photography by Stefania Yarhi It’s day seven of New York Fashion Week which means NYFW is officially wrapping up. With the scorching weather, everybody was happy to peel off layers and embrace the heat with summer dresses. While Miroslava Duma and Olivia Palermo showed off their toned legs in printed ensembles, a few fashion show regulars took cues from the Spring 2014 runway by pulling out pleated skirts and sheer fabrics.

Chanel’s hula hoop bag! Anna Dello Russo in head-to-toe Prada! A post-Rodarte psychedelic ombré! Boy, are there ever some treasures to behold in today’s batch of street style photos out of New York Fashion Week. All that realness we talked about on Friday seems to have poof! melted with the snow—fashion’s show ponies are truly working for their place in the Fall 2013 spotlight.
While capturing the latest from street style regulars Susie Bubble, Miroslava Duma, Man Repeller Leandra Medine and Shala Monroque ducking in and out of It ticket shows including Rodarte, Narciso Rodriguez and Kate Middleton-favourite Jenny Packham, a few old favourites made their return to our the Fall 2013 radar. Case in point: the newly blond Ulyana Sergeenko, who with regal walker in tow, looked every bit as poster princess for Moscow’s matryoshka doll society as ever. Oh, to be a pore on that skin.

Paris Fashion Week Spring 2013 Street Style: 60+ shots including Kanye West, Carine Roitfeld, Leandra Medine and yep, Balenciaga’s sci-fi sweater is still going strong
Photography by Stefania Yarhi See the latest street style photos from Paris!
If you’re having a case of the Mondays, today’s edition of street style photos from Paris Fashion Week will definitely be the cure. This weekend our street style photographer Stefania Yarhi has captured 50 plus photos from outside the tents, including a mix of celebrities, editors, and all-around well-dressed folks.
The rapper behind the song Christian Dior Denim Flow—that is, Kanye West—made quite the appearance outside Dior cloaked in very on-trend tuxedo jacket paired with a heavy gold chain (Kim Kardashian for once wasn’t his accessory du jour). We also spotted Carine Roitfeld, Olivia Palermo and Leigh Lezark outside Dior—which, given that it was Raf Simons first ready-to-wear collection for the brand, was one of the more buzzed about shows.

London Fashion Week Spring 2013 Street Style: Cozy knits, leather jackets, animal print sweaters and we spy Olivia Palermo!
Photography by Stefania Yarhi See our street style snaps from London Fashion Week Spring 2013!»
With the weather rapidly cooling down it’s no surprise how many cozy knits, leather jackets and tailored pants appear in today’s batch of street style pictures from London Fashion Week Spring 2013. Houndstooth print paired with black tights and a bright red sweater brought elegance to the streets, while ripped jeans and fur vests were prominent visions and gave an edgy vibe to otherwise dressy attire. Black and white was also big—clearly colour palettes have toned down as the transition into fall officially begins—as were animal prints embroidered onto sweaters. (Part Givenchy panther, part Opening Ceremony kitty?) The biggest trend we spotted, however, goes to knits—a fall favourite for many. Knitted hats, sweaters and skirts in assorted patterns graced the streets of London, as well as our Fall & Winter 2012 trend guide. Olivia Palermo did knits differently, by pairing a cozy grey sweater with a textured leather skirt and lots of chunky jewelry. And while we may be at the end of London Fashion Week Spring 2013, there are many more street style pictures to come—after all, it’s time for Milan!

Fashion’s finest (Zoe Saldana! Olivia Palermo! Coco Rocha!) take to the polo pitch at New York’s Liberty State Park for Veuve Clicquot’s Polo Classic
As the Statue of Liberty looked on, some of fashion’s finest took to the polo pitch at New York’s Liberty State Park, where Veuve Clicquot rang in their fifth annual Polo Classic. From Poppy Delevigne’s floral sundress to Coco Rocha’s silver-embellished blush dress, the star-studded attendees were decked out in full summer wear as they mingled in the marigold yellow VIP tents. On the pitch, Rachel Zoe sported her signature brand of boho chic in a maxi dress and floppy hat as she threw out the ceremonial ball to start the game. This year, the Polo Classic supported Work to Ride, a non-profit organization that aids disadvantaged urban youth by getting them involved with equestrian activities. Polo star Nacho Figueras, who co-hosted the event alongside his wife Delfina Blaquier, actor Clive Owen and the president of Veuve Clicquot U.S., Vanessa Kay, led the polo game. Once it wrapped up, the polo players celebrated by shooting off a Veuve spray (of course) and toasting the day with raised flutes.

LFW Diary: The dispatch from Temperley, Issa, Todd Lynn, and a roundup of Brit celebs who sat “frow”
Anais Pouliot at Temperley London shot by Mike Marsland/WireImage Day two of London Fashion Week was a day of literal show themes. First off was Moschino Cheap & Chic, showing in London for the first time—its “Make Up Your Life” Fall collection set in Portland Place (random factoid: this is near the Portland Hospital, where everyone from Victoria Beckham to Claudia Schiffer have given birth). Before the show, we were treated to cocktails and lemonade in the grand living room of a Georgian house; makeup chairs had also been set up to go along with the theme, though the Brit celebs I spotted—Nicola Roberts, Pixie Lott, and a pregnant Peaches Geldof—didn’t seem to take notice. Also present: Olivia Palermo.

They said/We said: Olivia Palermo has gone from reality TV star to the face of Rochas’ newest fragrance
Photography by Marcel Thomas/Getty Images Proving once again that dimples and a good sense of style can take you places, Olivia Palermo has just been declared the face of Rochas’ newest fragrance.
The pairing is an understandable one considering the similarities between Rochas’ signature refined elegance and Palermo’s own, ahem, “elevated” aesthetic (remember when she was forced to attend hosted a Guess party on The City but refused to wear Guess?). The house, with a well-known roster of perfumes, is letting nothing slip about the new scent—however all things considered, the face of a fragrance is more likely to influence a purchase than the scent itself.
