Michael Kors and his high-powered pals support World Hunger Day with a fundraiser, bilboard takeover and more
See the God’s Love we Deliver event photos »
Last week, designer Michael Kors used his influence to fight the global hunger crisis on official World Hunger Day (October 16). Together with the World Food Programme, the day began with a cleverly orchestrated digital takeover of the billboards at Times Square, which streamed content that raised awareness of his Watch Hunger Stop campaign. The initiative encouraged the world to participate by spreading the word through social media, donating to the cause and purchasing a Kors-designed watch whose sale would fund 100 meals through the World Food Programme.
The designer has also been a huge advocate for God’s Love We Deliver; an organization that prepares tailored meals for people with severe illnesses in the city he calls home. Last year, a $5 million donation he made helped in the renovation of the organization’s facility, which in recognition was re-named to “The Michael Kors Building.” God’s Love We Deliver held its annual Golden Heart Awards to cap off World Food Day with stars from film, fashion, and political circles coming together to celebrate notable community contributions.

Street Style, Milan: Anna Wintour, Carine Roitfeld and Anna Dello Russo shine in our final batch of fashion week photos
See the street style photos from Milan fashion week »
And just when we thought we’d seen the last of Milan Fashion Week prints, the ever-popular trend has been taken to new heights in today’s latest batch of street style photos from outside the Spring 2014 shows.
On the final day of Milan Fashion Week, photographer Sophie Mhabille spotted brave fashion attendees playing up their favourite popping pieces. Milan-based Russian fashionista Zhanna Romashka epitomized this trend in a colour-block witty printed dress by Giulia Rositani, a blue beret and mustard yellow polka dot print neckerchief. The two Annas of the fashion world were also spotted in print-filled ensembles. While Anna Wintour looked prim and proper (as usual) in a floral print dress, leave it to fashion eccentric Anna Dello Russo to pull off a head to toe Fay Spring 2014 look, complete with a lustworthy snoopy print jacket.

Street Style, New York: 53 photos of style stars (and Barbara Walters!) braving the heat outside Spring 2014 fashion week
Despite the scorching heat wave, street style regulars were definitely into leather on day six of New York Fashion Week Spring 2014.
Many fashion enthusiasts layered classic leather jackets or vests over their summery outfits, but Miroslava Duma and blogger Chiara Ferragni rocked the leather trend by pulling out maxi and studded mini respectively.
The Beckerman sisters joined in on the leather-clad fun. While Samantha Beckerman opted for a pleated black skirt and a Marc Jacobs Mickey Mouse sweater, Cailliane went rocker chic in a Rodarte black and red-fringed leather vest and Mickey printed leggings. Style to spare in duplicates, those girls.
Accessories were definitely making a statement on the streets. From Leandra Medine’s colourful arm candy to a furry black and blue clutch adding texture to a head to toe black ensemble, accessories were stealing the spotlight. Even the much-coveted mini Chanel hula-hoop purse made an appearance.
While the vast majority strutted the streets outside New York Fashion Week in killer heels, flats, sneakers and furry Céline sandals were the popular and definitely more comfortable choice. Even Anna Dello Russo, the queen of statement stilettos, wore leather boots, albeit bejewelled and bedazzled.

Street Style, New York: 45 photos of stylish Canadians, rock gods and statement accessories at Spring 2014 fashion week
See the street style image from New York Fashion Week »
The sun was out on day four of New York Fashion Week Spring 2014. So were the style stars and their accessories. Carine Roitfeld’s wrap-around sunglasses were totally Star Trek and totally amazing. Just as great was Giovanna Battaglia’s pilgrim belt that was so wide it could probably double as a shirt (see below re: crop tops). But it was neckgear that was the must-have accessory of the moment. These jewels were so chunky they were essentially clavicle armour. Case in point: Man Repeller Leandra Medine’s Frankensteinian choker.
Also out in full force? Shoulders. Like those of Moda Operandi’s Taylor Tomasi Hill and Danielle Prescod, who were just two of the showgoers to embrace the off the shoulder and strapless looks. And it if wasn’t a shoulder it was (still!) definitely a tummy. If the sidewalks have anything to say about it, crop tops will be around for a while.

The mean streets of New York were looking might friendly/trendy on Day two of New York Fashion Week’s Spring 2014 season. Showgoers were looking comfier than ever having ditched their sky-high platforms for comfort soles and sneakers (our feet are thanking them already!). Grunge was still a major player with heaps of plaid (think sleeves, shirts, and pants), graphic tees, and ripped, worn-in denim on the streets. Some were moving away from the standard street style maximalism to a simpler kind of stylish: black and white.

Met Gala 2013: The 25 best dressed on fashion’s most important red carpet
See the Met Gala 2013 red carpet photos »
The build up to this year’s Met Gala has been major. Designers, celebrities and the fashion elite have been scrambling to piece together a look that fits the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s theme, PUNK: Chaos to Couture and while admittedly, the punk-inspired looks were few and far between, we were certainly thrilled with a few.
Channeling her own recent V Magazine cover, Miley Cyrus went latter day Debbie Harry with platinum blonde spikes and a long fishnet Marc Jacobs dress. Anne Hathaway debuted a similarly bleached bob alongside her date and dresser for the night, Valentino Garavani, sending the twittersphere in a tizzy.
Co-chairs of the event Riccardo Tisci and Rooney Mara went punk-light with Mara in a beautifully detailed white lace Givenchy dress and a pop of crimson on the lips.
Also wearing Givenchy was none other than Beyoncé—the honourary chairperson for this year’s event. Pairing her custom-designed strapless black and gold printed gown with blinged out boots in the same shade, Queen Bey proved for her second year in a row that last on the red carpet is always best.
After finally receiving the Anna Wintour nod of approval, Kim Kardashian made an appearance at the Met Gala 2013 in a floral-print Givenchy dress with baby-daddy, Kanye West at her side.
Someone who is more known for consistently nailing red carpet looks than Kimye, is Emma Watson and she hit a high note yet again in a skin-bearing Prabal Gurung dress with a single silver drop earring hanging from her left ear.
And while Kristen Stewart has held fast to her role as the face of Balenciaga’s Florabotanica, she strayed from the house’s new wears, opting instead, for a crimson Stella McCartney pantsuit.
So who was the best dressed at the Met Gala 2013? Vote in our poll!

Everyone seems to be having a party, including Kyra Sedgwick, BryanBoy, Rumi Neely and Miroslava Duma, who in the vein of Anna Dello Russo, was spotted in not one, but two designer driven outfits. And as with any good fashion party, the popular girls made their group appearance on West 26th Street: Virginie, Claire, Jenna and Prisca Courtin-Clarins. As for the party caterer? The street style in and around the last two days of New York Fashion Week’s Spring 2013 shows were a frenzy of varsity jackets (Opening Ceremony), motorcycle jackets (Acne) see-through bags (from Kenzo to Claire’s) and Asian-inspired printed silks (Proenza Schouler, obv) jealousy-inducing heels (and even a few flats) as shot by our street style photographer Stefania Yarhi. From the city that never sleeps, it also seems that the fashion crowd never sleeps during fashion week, as photographer Stefania Yarhi has caught even more stylish ladies (and a few men!) outside the shows at New York Fashion Week Spring 2013.
The excitement was in the air as Hollywood’s elite sat in the coveted front row of Rodarte’s Spring 2013 show on Tuesday. Plunked beside Rachel Zoe and Anna Wintour in the front row was Kirsten Dunst (fresh from her visit to Toronto for TIFF to promote her upcoming film On the Road), who Yahri captured leaving the show wearing an on-trend cream and brown striped dress with lace and ruffles from Rodarte’s Fall 2012 collection.

New York Fashion Week Spring 2013 Street Style: We spot Leigh Lezark, Doutzen Kroes and Kimora Lee Simmons in an H&M dress!
Check out today’s street style photos from New York Fashion Week!»
Our go-to New York Fashion Week Spring 2013 street style photographer Stefania Yarhi has captured more fashion editors, models and celebrities from outside presentations from Zac Posen, Marc Jacobs and Proenza Schouler among others.
It seems as though some of the stylish ladies that her lens captured are taking advantage of the warm September weather via their sartorial choices seen here. Vogue Japan editor Anna Dello Russo who has been making the rounds this Fashion Week Spring 2013 looked sleek and sexy in a form fitting short black dress, black sunglasses and gold jewellery that accented her golden summer tan, as did model Doutzen Kroes (who was spotted with Kate Bosworth at the Theyskens’ Theory show a few days ago) in a similar outfit of black tank top, shorts and sunglasses. Meanwhile, American Vogue editor Anna Wintour looked summery in a colourful printed dress, and Belgian model Hanne-Gaby Odiele seemed to think it’s still the middle of summer wearing white pants and a purple tie-dyed crop top (although if we had her stomach, we’d probably wear that all year round).
